Boutique Voila Little GOO

As a toy industry freelancer, I wear many hats. But one of my favourite roles to step into is that of a design consultant. When I first started offering it as a service, it felt like a no-brainer: I know sex toys like the back of my hand, and for almost ten years now I’ve been reviewing them and offering recommendations on how they can be improved. I know what works, and what doesn’t, and with a collection now nearing the thousands, I’ve amassed a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to look back on. So, why not offer my thoughts in a private setting, rather than on my website, for toys that are still in development? It’s been a lot of fun, but the one downside is not being able to share it with all of you… until now! So, without further ado, I’d like you all to meet someone very special to me, the Boutique Voila Little GOO.

Velvet Thruster Prime with Sammie, Walter, Edward, Nanci, Frankie and Jackie heads

2023 is the year of the thruster. I, perhaps prematurely, called it back in June after reviewing just three, yet since then I’ve gone on to double that number, turning a style of product I rarely review into one of my most talked about toys of the year. So today’s post feels almost like a culmination of this trend, because at long last I’m bringing you my review of the Velvet Thruster Prime. One of my most requested sex toys this year, I first started teasing this collaboration with Velvet Brands back in May, and figured I couldn’t let the year end without finally sharing my thoughts on one of the most elaborate thrusters, if not sex toys in general, that I’ve ever received. Because I’m not just reviewing one version of the modular Prime today, but all six of its insertable heads, as well as two of the optional accessories.

Smart Thruster Giveaway

Hot off the heels of my Lovense Gravity review, I’m bringing you a very special giveaway! That’s right, for the month of July I’ve teamed up with Velvet Thruster to give you the chance to win your own copy of the most advanced sex toy I’ve ever tried. Well known for their smart tech adult products, or “teledildonics” as us industry folks like to say, Lovense have really outdone themselves with the Gravity, a hands-free accordion-style thruster that pairs with the brand’s Remote app, allowing it to be controlled in ways I’d previously only dreamed of. Syncing it to your favourite Spotify playlist, reprogramming the inbuilt pattern modes, and connecting it to erotic games from Steam are just some of the options you’ll have at your fingertips. Plus, that’s not all! Velvet Thruster have kindly offered their own take on the smart thruster too, with their Teddy XL also up for grabs. Part of the US brand’s Mini Series, this flexible toy has an even greater range of thrusting action than the Gravity, with 6.35cm / 2.5″ to enjoy at a rate of up to 128 strokes per minute!

Lovense Gravity

I’ve been writing about sex toys for over eight years now, yet I’ve surprisingly only reviewed six thrusters, with two of those being this year. I suppose two isn’t really enough to declare that 2023 is the “year of the thruster”, but because I don’t try them very often, it feels like it is to me. Plus, I have a lot more on the way, starting with today’s review on the Lovense Gravity. An accordian-style thruster (of which I have two others, whilst the rest are split between magnetic-style and stretch-style), Lovense have added their usual high-tech touch to the product, making this innovative toy quite unlike any of the other handheld sex machines I’ve tried. Offering vibrations alongside the thrusting, it is also compatible with the Chinese brand’s comprehensive range of apps for greater control over both bluetooth and wifi. Making this not only an exciting thruster for solo use, but the perfect option for those in long-distance relationships or online sex work.

Review: Klitton I – Princess Previews

Klitton I

We hear the phrase “size doesn’t matter” a lot in this industry, but lately it seems like everything is getting smaller! From the exciting new Magic Wand Micro, to my recent review on the Pink Punch Sunset Mushroom, it’s cool to be small these days. Not only does it allow products to be more versatile, working in a greater range of positions and situations, but it offers more privacy too, with toys taking up less space and thus easier to hide or take with you on the go. Plus, a smaller body generally means a smaller motor, which results in less noise. The flip side of this, however, is that it can also mean less power, something these toys are hoping to debunk once and for all. Yet no product has more reason to prove this than the smallest vibrator I’ve ever seen, the Klitton I.

The Brand

It’s my first time working with Klitton, who are a new manufacturer based in Romania. Aiming to become the ultimate destination for sex toys, they believe in igniting desires and providing a discreet experience, while still catering to their customer’s unique preferences. Their flagship product, the Klitton I, is the only toy currently available at their website, and its small shape is designed with privacy in mind. Although as Klitton continues to develop more products, their customers remain their top priority, and they hope to offer more high-quality toys that don’t compromise on safety or discretion soon. In the meantime, shipping is just to those in the US, and if you do purchase, you can enjoy a two-year warranty on all orders.

Product Description

With a length of 2.17″ / 5.5cm, width of 1.26″ / 3.2cm, and depth of 0.43″ / 1.1cm, I wasn’t joking when I said the Klitton I was small. It is also incredibly lightweight, coming in at just 23g. Covered in body-safe silicone, with the only exception to this being the two small magnetic charging plates on one side, it then has a pebble-like shape. Yet three of its four edges feature a small notch, which not only offers some variety to its shape, but also allows for any of the five elastic bands that it comes with to be attached. This really reinforces the Klitton I’s second objective after privacy, and that is versatility. Whilst this toy can easily be used as a simple clitoral or panty vibrator, thanks to its included remote control, these bands also allow it to be attached to your body as a wearable toy, secured to furniture, and so forth. Whilst the Klitton I itself comes in both purple and pink (which is what I have), the bands are blue, purple and pink, and whilst I love the idea of these, I should point out that they do appear to just be small hair ties. The silicone on the toy is then soft, particularly around the edges, which are also semi-flexible. Finally, a single button can be found on the same side as the charging plates (with the other side being completely smooth), and in addition to being USB rechargeable, this toy is also fully waterproof.

Packaging

Klitton I packaging

My order for the Klitton I was placed with Klitton on the 24th of September and I received it promptly on the 28th, which was great timing considering it was an international delivery. Plus, the package was also 100% discreet, with no mention of the sender or what was inside. As for the packaging for the Klitton I itself, this was then fairly simple, being a small black box just featuring the Klitton logo and their tagline, “vibes unleashed”, on the front. However, on each of the four sides of this box, Klitton have placed care information and disclaimers in a variety of languages, with the first two lines stating “The use of this product is solely at the user’s own risk. [Klitton] will not be held responsible or liable for any damages or injuries resulting from the use of this product”. Now, I’m sure this kind of notice is super normal, but typically it’s included in the fine print in the toy’s instructions. Klitton’s choice to instead have it in prominent writing on their box, means it is likely the first thing you’ll read when receiving this toy, and it’s a real mood killer. It also takes away from the box’s otherwise discreet and minimalist nature, which is a shame. Opening this up, you’ll then find the toy resting safely in foam alongside its charging cord and remote, as well as a small storage bag which holds the Klitton I’s five coloured bands. No manual is included, which explains the writing on the box, but this doesn’t even cover everything, and so for further instructions you can find a PDF manual at their website.

Charging

Klitton I charging and batteries
The remote’s battery compartment has its directions pointing the wrong way, which is why I ended up damaging it.

To charge the Klitton I, simply plug one end of the charger into a USB port and then place the other end over the metal plates on the toy, which should allow the two to connect magnetically. These magnets are fairly stable, however they can occasionally disconnect, so be mindful of this when placing it down. Once on charge, a light on the toy should flash, with this becoming solid upon completion, and it should take one hour to give you roughly one hour of playtime. Additionally, Klitton recommends charging the toy before first use. As for the remote, this uses a CR2032 battery, which is included.

Controls

With only a single button to control it, the Klitton I works similar to a bullet vibrator. This simple system is not only easy to remember, but also helps with the fact that there aren’t any instructions included. To turn it on, just hold down the button until it vibrates twice and the light turns on, placing it in stand-by mode. You can then continue clicking the button to cycle through the toy’s ten vibration modes, three of which are steady speeds and seven of which are patterns. Finally, when done you can simply hold down the button again to turn it off.

The Remote

Klitton I remote

A small black plastic remote is included with the toy, although despite the fact that it has two buttons, one more than on the Klitton I itself, the remote doesn’t actually offer any greater control of the toy. Instead, it is just helpful for using the toy from afar, whether that’s during partner play or simply because it’s somewhere difficult to access, such as in your underwear. To use the remote, the toy will first need to be in stand-by mode. You can then use the button on the remote with the zigzag symbol to control the toy in the same way as the button on the Klitton I itself, clicking it to cycle through the ten modes. Plus, at any time when the vibrations are running, you can press the power symbol button on the remote to turn them off and place the toy back into stand-by mode. This is particularly helpful during times you need to be discreet, allowing you to instantly pause the toy.

First Impressions

My biggest concern with the Klitton I was whether the vibrations would be good enough, due to what I can only imagine is the very small size of its motor. Plus, since this is all the toy really offers, there would be nowhere to hide if they weren’t. Unfortunately, my fears were confirmed when I turned it on, only to be greeted with some of the weakest and most buzzy vibrations I’ve ever felt in a sex toy. The upside to this is the noise level, which is quite low, especially on the first steady speed. And considering the Klitton I is designed for privacy, this was good news indeed. Whilst you still wouldn’t be able to wear it as a panty vibe somewhere quiet, such as a museum or library, it would definitely work at a club, cinema, or even in most outdoor spaces.

My Experience

Klitton I with bands

The Klitton I is quite an unusual design, and using it, I started to get a sense of why it hasn’t been done before. If I simply place it against me, whether in my underwear or when on my back, the vibrations are too weak to be felt. The lack of weight contributes to this in the latter example, with even gravity not being enough to keep it in place. Then, if I instead spread my labia so that it is against my clitoris, the width of the toy is too long to comfortably fit, whilst the other way is too short. So what ends up happening is that it twists diagonally, which isn’t ideal. I suppose this is why clitoral vibrators usually fall into two categories: the bullet-shape or the curved-to-fit-you-shape. You can, at least, tightly close your legs around it, and it is this that allows for hands-free use of the Klitton I. Then, whilst the vibrations aren’t enough to bring me to orgasm by themselves, they do work to provide some foreplay-style stimulation. And when I’m ready to take it to the next level, rubbing the toy against me with my hand is all it takes. Unsurprisingly this has become my favourite way to use the Klitton I, and while I’m not sure it was the intention for the toy, I feel like its small size works perfectly as an extension to my hand. Plus, this also goes well with the toy’s included bands, however since they aren’t really necessary, I’ve tended to forgo them, as the extra cleaning it results in just isn’t worth it (and since they’re made of fabric, I’m not sure they’re all that safe to be getting messy anyway).

Extended wear is another area where the Klitton I shines. Whilst I do experience the issues with placement as mentioned above, I’ve ultimately found using it vertically, so that one of the shorter edges is against me, is the best way to go about it. My advice though would be to wear tight underwear, as the toy is so small that anything looser will not be able to hold it in place. When first turned on, the vibrations are quite enjoyable, and very exciting too if the remote is controlled by your partner. The problem, though, is that because they are so buzzy, they start to numb you out and instead make you feel itchy after a couple of minutes. Due to this, I’d recommend using the Klitton I in short bursts, which thankfully is easy due to the remote’s pause button.

Cleaning & Care

Cleaning the Klitton I is easy since it is made of silicone and fully waterproof. Simply wipe it down with some warm soapy water and then rinse, taking care to wash out the grooves around the button if this has gotten bodily fluids on it (I’d recommend always using the smooth side against you to avoid this). Afterwards you can leave it to air dry, before returning it to its storage bag. Additionally, do not use silicone-based lubricants with this toy, as it may compromise the silicone it is made of.

Final Thoughts

Klitton I with storage bag

There’s no denying that the smaller the toy, the more discreet it is. Not only is it easier to conceal, but it’s most likely going to be quieter too, and it is for these reasons that the Klitton I is worthwhile. And yet, the double-edged sword to all this, is power. Can a toy as small as the Klitton I really have strong vibrations? I think it’s possible. Nevertheless, the question remains unanswered for now. For the new manufacturer’s very first product, I think this is a good attempt at creating something different in an industry so full of repetition, and for that I have a lot of respect. And while the Klitton I needs work, it was able to give me some satisfying orgasms with just a little encouragement from my hand, and using it for extended wear was also enjoyable. Plus, even though there are other smaller panty-style vibrators out there, such as the We-Vibe Moxie, the Klitton I has one last trick up its sleeve: its budget-friendly price. With this in mind, I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a low cost, quiet, discreet, and most of all small vibe, although I do hope we don’t have to wait too long till we see a Klitton II!

Review: Sohimi Deep Sucker – Princess Previews

Sohimi Deep Sucker

I know I’m a little late to the party, but a few weeks ago I finally bought my first makeup sponge. I’m already obsessed, and whilst I’m no beauty influencer, I’d highly recommend getting one if you use liquid foundation. So, when Sohimi reached out recently about trying some more of their toys, it felt a bit like fate when I saw a clitoral stimulator cleverly disguised as a beauty blender in their store. They sent the Deep Sucker out to me right away, and whilst the shape is great, I do think the size, which is more than double a typical makeup sponge, offers a clear hint that this item isn’t what it seems. Regardless, with a standing design that places the suction nozzle at its base, this is still a promising sex toy for anyone who needs to maintain their privacy.

Product Description

The Deep Sucker, or “Adorable Deep 9 Sucking & 10 Vibrating Modes Female Vibrator Toy” as the Sohimi website calls it, is a clitoral stimulator. I was looking forward to both aspects of the toy, the advertised suction and vibrations, however the immediate bad news is that the latter is nowhere to be found. At first I thought perhaps Sohimi intended for the residual sensations the suction is putting out to be the “vibrations”, even if this is incredibly weak, but that still doesn’t explain the fact that there is supposed to be “10 vibrating modes”, when the toy only has the nine levels of suction. Apart from this confusion, the Sohimi Deep Sucker is a very simple toy. It has just one button to control the suction with, and on the other side of this you’ll find two metal plates for the magnetic charger. Its beauty blender, or teardrop-style, design, which consists of a rounded bottom and pointed tip, is only available in this bright red colour, and whilst I was imagining it to be soft like the sponge it’s inspired by, it’s actually almost completely firm, with the only exceptions to this being the very tip and the area around the suction nozzle. Although visually, the only downside is a light seam that runs around the toy just under the button. Finally, this stimulator is also USB rechargeable, body-safe, and fully waterproof.

Packaging

Sohimi Deep Sucker with packaging and instructions

My order with Sohimi for the Deep Sucker was placed on the 16th of October and I received it on the 27th. The package was then completely discreet, not mentioning the sender or what was inside. As for the box of the toy itself, this was the usual white-label style I have come to expect from the brand, being entirely black except for some warehouse addresses on one side. Since these are generic addresses, however, and won’t reveal anything sex-related in a web search, the upside of this box is that it is entirely discreet. Although the downside is that the card it is made with is thin and of poor quality, and this combined with the fact that the satchel it arrived in had absolutely no protection, has meant that the box is somewhat damaged, creating a fairly bad first impression. Opening this up, you’ll then find the Deep Sucker resting in foam, alongside its charging cord and an instruction manual that refers to it as the “Dew”. In addition, the Sohimi Deep Sucker comes with a one year warranty.

Charging

Sohimi Deep Sucker charging

Since the Sohimi Deep Sucker is USB rechargeable, charging it is easy. Simply plug one end into a USB port and place the other end over the metal plates on the back of the toy so the two can connect magnetically. This connection is fairly sturdy, although it can occasionally disconnect, so do be careful upon placing it down. Once on charge, a light should flash, and this will become solid upon completion, with charging taking 1.5 hours to give you roughly one hour of use. Strangely, there are two errors within the instructions relating to the toy’s charging, with it instead listing the Deep Sucker as taking two hours to charge and stating that the toy’s light will remain solid during and then turn off upon completion. Finally, Sohimi also recommends charging the Deep Sucker before first use.

Controls

Sohimi Deep Sucker controls

With just one function and one button, controlling the Sohimi toy is simple. To start, just hold down the button until the indicator light turns on, although it can be tricky to tell when this has happened in a well lit room. The toy will now be in stand-by mode, and you can continue clicking the button to cycle through the nine suction modes, five of which are steady speeds and four of which are patterns. Finally, to turn the toy back off you can hold the button down again. Overall I love how easy all this is, although if I was going to suggest a change, it would be to get rid of the unnecessary stand-by mode.

First Impressions

My initial impression of the Sohimi Deep Sucker was one of disappointment, as I realised the advertised vibrations were a myth. At least the suction seemed promising, creating quite a pull on my finger and having plenty of room within the hole to avoid any discomfort. Although whilst it seems Sohimi have tried their best to create a protruding nozzle, by having the area around it indented, because it’s at the base of the toy, it is still a relatively flat area, which could be cause for concern with creating a seal. Plus, I’m not particularly impressed with the noise level of this toy, which is very loud, and easily one of the noisiest suction toys I’ve tried. You definitely would not be able to use this if privacy is important, and considering the whole point of the Deep Sucker was to be a discreet sex toy, this is a massive flaw.

My Experience

Sohimi Deep Sucker nozzle

Placing the Sohimi Deep Sucker over my clitoris is easy due to its deep nozzle, even with that flat surface. However, my fears about it struggling to form a seal because of this are unfortunately correct. What’s more, I find the suction to be lacking in general. It starts out quite promising on the first mode, but as the speed is increased, it quickly loses any depth to its sensation, similar to when you use an overly buzzy vibrator that gets worse the more power you put into it. This is not helped by the fact that there is no way to reduce the speed, and turning it on and off again is hindered by the stand-by mode. Plus, every now and then when I do start getting into it, I find myself accidentally clicking into one of the pattern modes since I’m so unaccustomed to a suction toy offering them, which is a quick way to kill the mood (or an orgasm, which has unfortunately happened to me a few times). Ultimately I can climax with the Sohimi Deep Sucker, but it is not the usual hard and fast experience I am used to with stimulators. It’s also a real shame there are no vibrations included, as that pointed head and curved body is just begging to be used.

Cleaning & Care

Since the Sohimi Deep Sucker is made from silicone and is 100% waterproof, cleaning it is easy. Simply wipe down the nozzle with some warm soapy water, before rinsing and leaving to air dry. I’d also recommend trying to shake out any water that may have gotten stuck within the nozzle in advance, as otherwise this can make for an unpleasant experience when you go to use it. Additionally, make sure to avoid using silicone-based lubricants with this product, as it may damage the silicone it is made with.

Final Thoughts

Sohimi Deep Sucker tip

I love the idea behind the Sohimi Deep Sucker. But unfortunately in its current form, it’s gonna be a no from me. There were three things I was excited about here: its suction, its vibrations, and its discretion. And yet, only one of those things actually worked, and even that wasn’t great. Whilst the shape and soft silicone tip looked primed for clitoral vibrations, they were nowhere to be found. Did they ever exist? According to the instructions, which I’m not even sure can be trusted, they didn’t. Then, whilst it has that discreet makeup sponge shape I was looking for, this is quickly let down by its size, bright colouring, and most of all, intense noise level. Finally, whilst the suction is present, it is weak, and even climaxing with the Deep Sucker is a struggle. Perhaps if this was a few years ago, I would have still recommended this product as a budget alternative for suction beginners. But, considering Sohimi’s ROSE, a far superior product, is only slightly more money, there is really no need.

You can get the Deep Sucker directly from Sohimi for just $45.60 AUD / $28.99 USD!

Review: Honey Play Box OLY 2

Honey Play Box OLY 2

I’m such a fan of Honey Play Box, that when I tried their new app for the first time a few months ago, I was a bit taken aback. The app itself was fine, a little weird to navigate and without any social features, but otherwise it did what it needed to do. Instead, it was the app on Honey Play Box’s website and the instructions included with my OLY that was not fine… because it was completely different! Not only did the two apps look nothing alike, but many of the advertised features simply didn’t exist on the real thing, causing concerns of false advertising. Of course I let Honey Play Box know my worries, and they quickly got to work updating their website to match the current version. But by then I had finished my testing, and never got the chance to revisit it. Until today, that is, for my review of the Honey Play Box OLY 2!

Product Description

So yes, I’ve got a bit of déjà vu considering I first tried the Honey Play Box app alongside their newly released OLY, and now here I am again a few months later trying it with their newly released OLY 2. Whilst I quite enjoyed this dual-stimulation panty vibe, it seems it wasn’t good enough for the US brand, who have now discontinued it in the wake of this new version. What’s different? Well, if we’re talking about non-app functions, then just one thing: pressure controls. Also known as touch response controls, basically this means that the toy will increase or decrease its vibrations depending on the amount of pressure applied to it. Now, I have only tried this technology once before in the California Exotics Luxe, which was terrible. And to this day, I don’t understand the purpose. Honey Play Box say “feel the stimulation change with your touch”, but who’s touching it during use? And if it does respond to my vaginal muscles, what is the benefit? Other than this, the OLY 2 is exactly the same as the original. It looks identical (thank god I got it in pink so I could tell them apart), has the same nine vibration modes, same charger, same controls, and comes in the same two silicone colours. And because of all this, I’ll be referring to that review a lot here, since there’s not much point in me discussing it all for a second time. Then, in regards to the app, there are two new features that Honey Play Box are prominently advertising for use with the OLY 2, and that is voice commands and vaginal temperature detection, the latter of which they list as helping to enhance the accuracy of menstrual cycle tracking. Finally, like the OG OLY, the OLY 2 is also USB rechargeable, body-safe and fully waterproof, and whilst it is safe for anal play, it is not intended for it.

Packaging

Honey Play Box OLY 2 packaging

My order for the OLY 2 was placed with Honey Play Box on the 6th of February and I received it on the 15th. The package was then 100% discreet, with no mention of who sent it or what was inside, which is an improvement from past packages from the brand. As for the box of the toy itself, this is then also identical to what the original OLY came in, so for a description you can see that review. The only difference is that this OLY comes with a light brown bag, rather than green, and it also has a new app manual. This is particularly important to me as the last one led to a lot of issues, and I’m glad to see this manual be up-to-date. Although it only contains brief instructions on how to download the app and turn on bluetooth, and whilst a QR code is provided for more detailed instructions, unfortunately this just leads to the Honey Play Box product page for app toys. Finally, the OLY 2 comes with a one year warranty.

Charging

Honey Play Box OLY 2 charging

Charging the Honey Play Box OLY 2 is easy since it is USB rechargeable, and the same as on the OG OLY. Simply plug one end into a USB port, and then connect the other to the metal plates on the toy. These will attach to each other magnetically, but do be careful as the connection strength isn’t the strongest. Charging should then take two hours to give you one and a half hours of use, with the light flashing when the battery is being filled and then becoming solid upon completion. In addition, Honey Play Box recommends charging the OLY 2 before first use.

Controls

The simple single button controls of the original OLY also make a return on the OLY 2, and so to turn the toy on or off you can hold down the button, with success being indicated by its light turning on or off. You can then continue clicking to cycle through the nine vibration modes, three of which are steady speeds and six of which are patterns, with the dual motors running together. The one change present is thankfully also something I had issues with on the original: the light. Whether it has actually been fixed or it is because of the different colour, I’m unsure, but on the original OLY this light was barely noticeable, making it difficult to tell when the toy had turned on. On the OLY 2, however, it is nice and bright, making use far easier. As for the new pressure controls, this also seems to work well. Placing it in my fist, a tight squeeze is all it takes to start the vibrations once the toy is in stand-by mode, although actually feeling a variety of speeds is a little harder, as it tends to just jump between being off to its final intensity and back again. One thing I was surprised at though (and worried about) is that this mode is always on, rather than being activated by the button or app.

Honey Play Box OLY 2 controls

The App

Considering the app is where everything went wrong for the original OLY, I was a little nervous opening it back up for my review of the OLY 2. You can see my full verdict and thoughts on the app itself at my round-up review, but I’ll go through how it affected my use of the OLY 2 here. Basically though, things still aren’t great, and my overall ranking of the Honey Play Box app has actually now dropped down from a 3/5 to a 2/5. Controlling the OLY 2 with all of the usual methods is fine, with some of the previous glitches being now ironed out, and the sadly missed online chat has also made a triumphant return, with text, audio and video options all available. Plus, the new vaginal temperature detection also works well, giving me real time info on the exterior temperature of the OLY 2 in fahrenheit (I wish I could change it to celsius though). Although personally I don’t have any use for this, and it does seem that it doesn’t record the information in the menstrual tracker like it is suppose to. So really it is just the voice commands that has been the biggest let down here. Because it just… doesn’t work?! When you first go into the app control menu, a notification comes up asking for permission to “access speech recognition”, which I allowed, and there is then a menu with command examples, for instance “start” and “max”. But no matter what I’ve tried, and how many times I’ve said the word “start”, nothing has happened. I’ve also tried it with another Honey Play Box toy I am reviewing, the RORA 2, and also had no luck. Am I doing something wrong? Perhaps. But since there is no information in the instructions, on the brand website, or in the app itself, I have no idea. So, as with my review on the original OLY, once again I’ll state that while this app does all of the basics you need, it does suffer from its prominently advertised features not being present.

My Experience

Honey Play Box OLY 1 and OLY 2
Both versions of the Honey Play Box OLY.

Since my experience with the Honey Play Box OLY 2 is almost exactly the same as it was with the original OLY, you can head to that review to read all the details. There were, however, two differences worth talking about here. Firstly, in that review I complained that the toy’s vibrations would turn off after around 30 seconds if you closed the app while using it. I’m happy to say this glitch has now been removed, significantly improving my use of the app. Secondly, there is the pressure control. After my review of the California Exotics Luxe, I was mighty sceptical about this, but somehow it is even worse than I thought. Initially, I was worried it would turn on during insertion, or that it would just get stuck at full speed once inside. But instead… there’s nothing! Just like the voice commands all over again, I can’t get the OLY 2’s pressure controls to work in actual use. Although at least with this I know that it does work, and merely that I cannot squeeze the toy hard enough with my vaginal canal to get it to run. So perhaps my kegels are just really out of shape, and this would work for someone else. The only thing I found to make an impact is if you go into the pressure settings within the app, and turn the sensitivity up to 100%. Once this is done, the vibrations will sometimes turn on, and do seem to respond to my muscles. However, they also randomly fluctuate up and down constantly, which is quite unpleasant and presumably not what Honey Play Box had in mind.

Cleaning & Care

Cleaning the Honey Play Box OLY 2 is easy since it is made from silicone and is waterproof. Just throw it in some soapy water when you’re done, give it a wash, rinse, and then dry. You can then store it in a zip-lock bag to keep it clean, as the silicone attracts dust. Furthermore, make sure to not use silicone-based lubricant with this product, as it may react badly to the silicone it is made of, but if you do then first perform a spot test.

Final Thoughts

Honey Play Box OLY 2 with storage bag

With the original Honey Play Box OLY and the OLY 2 being so similar, it’s no surprise that I once again enjoyed this product. Hands-free play in bed is where it shines most, with the external arm sitting perfectly over my clitoris, while extended discreet wear as a panty vibrator continues to be unsuitable due to how loud it is. So it was really the new features, and some small fixes, that I reviewed here today. Of the latter, there was the stronger light and the need to no longer keep the app open, little changes that made a big impact. But in regards to the actual new features, unfortunately I feel quite let down. Of the main four, the vaginal temperature detection and online chat worked the best, but sadly I have little use for these. What I was interested in was the pressure control and voice commands, neither of which I’ve ever seen successfully used in a sex toy… and I’m afraid I’m still waiting. Both were complete failures, and whilst I am hoping the voice commands just need an app update to fix, I can’t see the OLY 2’s pressure sensors working for me anytime soon, not unless I start a strict training regime for my kegels. So, if you have the original OLY and are thinking of upgrading, I’d recommend against it. But, for everyone else, I’ll remind you that despite all this, the OLY 2 is still the cheapest app compatible toy I’ve tried, and as long as you aren’t expecting anything more fancy than some quality dual-stimulation, this is a good pick.

Updates

[2/4/24] After publishing my review, Honey Play Box got back to me about the issues I’d experienced with their app. Whilst they did not address the pressure control, they were able to shed some light on the voice commands. It turns out that there is actually an activation phrase you must say first, similar to the “Okay Google” or “Hey Siri” you find on other smart devices. It is “Hey Honey”, and although this phrase does feature on a few images on the OLY 2 product page, there is nothing to suggest this is anything more than marketing copy. To use it, you’ll need to press the voice command button and then say the phrase. It’ll reply “I’m here”, and after this you can choose a command from the voice menu, which is pretty intuitive. You only need to press the button once, but the activation phrase has to be said prior to every command, which does get a bit annoying, and is especially weird during partner play. Plus, it’s definitely not perfect, with “Honey” not understanding many of my commands, or registering them only for nothing to actually happen. Finally, Honey Play Box told me they plan to make the activation phrase more obvious, but as of yet there has been no updates to the app or website.

You can get the OLY 2 directly from Honey Play Box for just $105 AUD / $69.99 USD, plus use my code GRACE15 to get 15% OFF your total order!

Not only did the two apps look nothing alike, but many of the advertised features simply didn’t exist on the real…

Review: Eden Fantasys Wonder – Princess Previews

Eden Fantasys Wonder

If you’ve spent much time on my blog, you’ll likely know that my two favourite types of pleasure products are, without question, air pressure wave toys and wand massagers. Nothing even comes close to comparing to these, and whilst they have a shared focus on the clitoris, they otherwise couldn’t be more different. Often large and expensive, massagers contain some of the most powerful vibrations a sex toy can offer, and provide a gradual build-up over their broad surface area to a satisfying and, in my opinion, relaxed orgasm. Meanwhile, the small and frequently budget-friendly clitoral stimulator uses air pressure waves to create a pin-point “suction” feeling on the clitoris, creating an intense and tear-jerking experience that is usually over before you know it. So, when Eden Fantasys recently reached out and offered me the chance to review some of their products, I was blown away when I saw the Wonder, a toy that is both a clitoral stimulator and massager in one!

The Brand

Before I jump in, I wanted to first take a moment to introduce Eden Fantasys since it’s my first time working with them on a review! Based in the USA and opening in 2002, I have fond memories of browsing their popular website when I first started my blog. It’s now been quite some time since then, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they were still around when they recently got in touch. Whilst they used to offer a range of brands, these days Eden Fantasys almost exclusively stocks their own collection of white-label toys. This allows them to instead put full focus on the customer experience, implementing the latest technologies for fast and reliable service, along with their user friendly website. When shopping with them, you can expect worldwide shipping, with free delivery on all orders over $50 USD, as well as discreet packaging and billing. Plus, they even have their own rewards system, and a forum where you can discuss sex toys to your heart’s content!

Product Description

It’s no question that the crossover between massager and suction toy is what first got me interested in the Eden Fantasys Wonder. But, if you can’t tell from the photos, there is even more to love about this product. Not satisfied with just 2-in-1, the US brand has taken things up a notch, making it 3-in-1 with the inclusion of a G-Spot vibrator handle. Now, this is something I’ve seen done before, and typically I am not a big fan of it, with these vibrating handles always seeming more of an afterthought. But on the Wonder, there is not only dedicated vibrations here, but a curved ribbed design too, topped off with a tapered end for easy insertion. As for the other side, this works similar to the ZALO Queen, with Eden Fantasys providing a silicone cover that will determine whether you use the Wonder as a massager or as a suction toy. Without it, you’ll find a fairly normal, albeit very firm, wand head, with a hollow area outlined with circles that they call the “membrane”. It is here that a tapping plate, similar to the oscillation plates I’ve seen on toys like the Queen and the Lora DiCarlo Carezza, is found, which works alongside the wand’s vibrations to provide stimulation. Then, once the cover is applied, this area instead creates the air pressure waves for the suction mode, with the nozzle focusing the sensations. The neck of the wand is very flexible, and just below this you’ll find three buttons for controlling the toy’s dual motors. On the back is then a small hole for the charging cord, and whilst the overall shape is quite stylish, it is let down somewhat by the obvious seams and overdone purple colouring, which is the only shade it is available in. Finally, this toy is also USB rechargeable, made of body-safe silicone, and fully waterproof.

Packaging

Eden Fantasys Wonder packaging

My order with Eden Fantasys for the Wonder was placed on the 16th of February and it arrived on the 27th. The package was then 100% discreet, with no mention of the sender or the box’s contents. What was strange, however, was that whilst the other item in my package, the Vibro Ride, was packaged in a lovely Eden Fantasys-branded box, the Wonder itself was just in a plain white box. Now, I’m very accustomed to receiving white-label sex toys in plain unbranded packaging, but this dented low-quality cardboard box couldn’t be any less shabby if it tried, with the only thing on it being a barcode sticker that says “Adult Novelty. Not for medical use”. And considering Eden Fantasys list this toy on their website as being “premium” and ideal for gifting, I was most certainly taken aback, especially when I had the direct comparison of the Vibro Ride right next to it. Inside, I then simply found the Wonder, alongside its instruction manual and charging cord.

Charging

Eden Fantasys Wonder charging

Charging the Eden Fantasys Wonder is easy since it is USB rechargeable. Simply plug one end of the cord into the hole on the back of the toy, and then plug the other end into a USB port. When charging the toy’s light will flash, with this becoming solid upon completion, and charging should take around two hours to provide 1.5 hours of play. Additionally, Eden Fantasys recommend charging the Wonder between each use,

Controls

Despite having two motors and three buttons, controlling the Eden Fantasys Wonder is easy and intuitive. This is because of the helpful symbols on the buttons, with the middle on / off button featuring a power symbol, suction / wand button featuring an O (or, at least, it’s meant to be an O), and G-Spot vibrator button featuring a zigzag line. To start, just hold the power button down until the light turns on, although this can be a little difficult to see as your finger will be on top of it. You can then choose either of the other two buttons to activate its associated end, with only one side running at a time. Both motors have the same ten modes, with three steady speeds and seven patterns, and you can easily switch back and forth between the two. Finally, when done you just need to hold down the power button again.

First Impressions

Turning the Eden Fantasys Wonder on for the first time, I was very confused. Because whilst almost everything else seemed to check out just fine, there was one glaring problem: where were the wand massager vibrations?! Turning on this end of the toy, the pulsing “membrane” plate certainly moves, but there is zero vibrations, residual or otherwise, on the rest of the wand head. At first I thought I either needed to check the instructions, or that I had misunderstood that the “Wand”-er was supposed to be a wand. But after checking with the instructions and website, where it describes the toy as working like “a classic wand”, I can confirm that the massager head frustratingly does not vibrate or remotely resemble a classic wand. As for the rest of the toy, the vibrations and oscillations are quite strong, although lean on the side of buzzy, which does also increase their noise level.

My Experience

Due to my above discovery, you’ll be unsurprised to learn that the Eden Fantasys Wonder cannot be used as a traditional wand vibrator. Thankfully though, I have had a much better time testing the rest of this product, and truly the biggest shame here is how the marketing has let down what is an otherwise excellent sex toy. Placing the oscillating head, without the suction attachment on, over my clitoris, I thoroughly enjoy the sensation. The only comparison I really have is the ZALO Queen, as it’s not as firm as the Lora DiCarlo Carezza, nor does it feel like a wand, both in regards to the stimulation and the angle I must hold the handle. Instead, it is more like a subtle cushioned vibration, that initially seems a little lacklustre, until it builds and builds… into a hugely satisfying orgasm! Next, I tried applying the suction head. This is a little tricky as you’ll definitely need two hands to attach the silicone cover, but since you also need to hold the handle in place, I have taken to holding it between my thighs during application. Once on though, this simple piece of silicone completely transforms the toy and the “membrane”, and it’s hard to believe this isn’t a fully fledged suction toy, especially considering it is better than many I have tried. While its three speeds aren’t able to offer the range I would like, it nevertheless manages to satisfy me, with orgasms coming even harder than without the nozzle attachment.

Eden Fantasys Wonder G-Spot vibrator

As for the internal end, inserting this is easy due to its tapered nature, and thanks to its curved shape it finds my G-Spot with ease. This feels great, although is let down slightly by the handle, or lack thereof, as at a time when I need to be able to apply full force in order to properly stimulate my G-Spot, I am instead met with the flexible not-a-wand head. Additionally, whilst the vibrations start off so promising here, by the third speed they are so buzzy as to make them no longer worthwhile. So because of this I’ve tended to stick to either the first or second speed when using the toy in this way. Overall though, both these issues are minor in the scheme of things, as this end still offers some great stimulation that has won me over to the idea of G-Spot handles.

Cleaning & Care

Cleaning the Eden Fantasys Wonder is easy since it is made from silicone and is waterproof. If you’ve just used the external end, then all that might be needed is a quick wipe down. But if things have gotten messy, or you’ve used the internal end, then you’ll want to throw it in some warm soapy water. Next, give it a quick wash, and I’d recommend going over any of the ribbed areas with a spare toothbrush. After this you can rinse it and then leave it out to dry, before storing it in a zip-lock bag to keep it clean, as the silicone attracts dust. Furthermore, make sure to not use silicone-based lubricant with this product, as it may react badly to the silicone it is made of, but if you do then first perform a spot test.

Final Thoughts

Eden Fantasys Wonder "Membrane"

“The more features, the better” seems to be the mentality of most sex toy designers these days. And whilst I love a multi-use toy as much as the next person, very rarely do they work out. But for Eden Fantasys’ 3-in-1 Wonder, I’ve got to say I am impressed. Easily the worst part of this toy is just the way it is advertised, because from the name to the product description on their website, this is 100% presented as a traditional wand vibrator that can also do some other stuff. I do think the shape of the toy is also a little misleading, but I agree that for the oscillating stimulation they’re going for, the flexible head is helpful. So whilst they could have made it look a little less like a wand, that’s not really the issue here. And it’s such a shame, because if I had gone in with the understanding that this is an oscillator / suction toy that can also be flipped and used as a G-Spot vibrator, then this would have been a pretty much perfect review. I really loved both of the external elements, and they gave me some great orgasms. Plus, whilst internal vibrators aren’t always my cup of tea, I found the shape here convinced me. With all this in mind, I absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for a good all-rounder toy that can do a few different things, just don’t expect one of those things to be a massager!

Review: Boutique Voila Little GOO

Background

Whilst I have consulted on a few sex toys over the last few years, Little GOO is the first one to be released! It gave me a chance to work even closer with my long-time blog sponsor and Brooklyn-based small business, Velvet Brands, much to my delight. As with their Velvet Thruster Prime collection, Boutique Voila is another one of the brands that falls under the Velvet umbrella, this time with a focus on fun and playful designs that smash traditional taboos around what sex toys have to look like. Collaborating with them has allowed me to watch Little GOO evolve from its initial prototype to a fully realised product, and one that I think is really something special. And yes, I may sound a little biased, but since I am reviewing it today, I will be trying my utmost to be objective. Afterall, I’m not receiving any kind of residuals or commissions from sales of this product, so whilst I am proud of how it has turned out, you don’t need to worry about me trying to make it sound better than it is.

Product Description

At its core, the Boutique Voila Little GOO is a very simple air pressure wave stimulator. Whilst multi-use toys continue to trend (despite typically being pretty bad), it is good to see a brand choosing to just do one thing well. With this in mind, it is really the rest of the toy’s unique design that has got me so excited. The most obvious of these being its absolutely adorable dinosaur shape, which has given it its secondary name of Suck-o-Saurus. The vibrant lime green colouring then brings characters such as Godzilla to mind, or, for a hearty dose of nostalgia, the Rugrats‘ kaiju spoof: Reptar. Complete with a smiling open mouth, tail and little arms, it’s hard not to fall in love with this toy, especially with a name like Little GOO. And, of course, all of this also helps it to be extra discreet, fitting right in with my Funko Pops, especially since its suction nozzle is not immediately visible. This is because Little GOO’s legs are removable, working as a cap that not only aids discretion, but also allows the toy to be travel-friendly whilst simultaneously keeping the nozzle clean. Opening it up, you’ll then find a removable silicone nozzle, and above this on the toy’s chest is a single button for control and two metal plates for the magnetic charger to connect to. Plus, the entire thing is covered in the most buttery soft silicone, which also keeps it body-safe. Finally, this toy is USB rechargeable and fully waterproof.

Packaging

Boutique Voila Little GOO packaging

My order for the Little GOO was placed with Boutique Voila on the 9th of February and I received it on the 15th, which was a great turnaround considering it was coming from the USA. Unfortunately though, as with past orders from the brand, the package was not discreet, listing the contents as “massager samples for media review” (which suggests a customer won’t have this issue). Although it did not mention my website or the brand name, which was an improvement. As for the packaging of the toy itself, this is a simple green cardboard box which highlights the Little GOO logo and information on what it can do. Similar to other Boutique Voila products (as I own most of the range, even if this is my first review), except without a cartoon drawing of the toy, I enjoy the simplicity of the packaging, which allows them to keep costs down (although I also know that a more elaborate box is in the works). Inside, you’ll then find the toy resting safely in a stand, alongside its charger and instruction manual. In addition, the Little GOO also comes with a one year warranty.

Charging

Boutique Voila Little GOO charging

Charging the Boutique Voila Little GOO is easy since it is USB rechargeable. Simply plug one end into a USB port, and then place the other end over the magnetic plates on the side of the toy. The connection strength here is fairly strong, but like all magnetic chargers it can disconnect if pulled, so be careful when placing it down. Once on charge, the toy’s light will begin to flash, and this will remain on once complete. Unfortunately Boutique Voila doesn’t mention how long charging is supposed to take, or the amount of time a full battery will give you. But I’ve yet to have it die on me, and in my experience it has been very quick to charge.

Controls

With just one button, controlling the Boutique Voila Little GOO is simple, and if anything the included instructions are just more of a formality. Simply hold down the button until the toy turns on, which will start at its lowest speed. You can then continue clicking to run through the toy’s six modes, all of which are steady speeds. This is particularly good, as suction toys with patterns seem to be getting more common these days, despite the fact that the type of stimulation really doesn’t work with it. The speeds will then continue to cycle once the maximum is reached, and at any time you can simply hold the button down again to turn the toy back off. Additionally, when the Little GOO is on, its button will light up, making it easy to press in the dark.

First Impressions

Boutique Voila Little GOO nozzle

Boutique Voila have impressively created their own patented design for the air pressure waves that run the Little GOO’s stimulation. It’s similar to tap suction, in which a small plate oscillates back and forth quickly, thereby changing the air pressure within the nozzle’s chamber. The biggest problem with this kind of suction is that often the nozzle will be very small, so the clitoris can be hit by the plate (ouch!). Thankfully, Boutique Voila have avoided this by providing a deep silicone nozzle, which aids comfort as well as ensuring easy placement and a tight seal. As for the suction itself, this initially seems strong, whilst simultaneously being fairly quiet, especially compared to my other suction toys. My only note would be that for the first second upon turning on the Little GOO, the suction runs at a high speed, before lowering down to its starting strength. This means you’ll definitely want to turn the toy on before placing it, as otherwise it could be a very unpleasant second. It also makes the toy a little more difficult for edging, whereby you might turn the toy on and off again, but since there’s no patterns to worry about with this toy, it’s easy to just click through until you return to the lowest steady speed instead.

My Experience

I promise you I’m not being biased, but the Boutique Voila Little GOO is truly one of the best suction toys I have tried in years. Whilst it doesn’t really compare to luxury models, such as the Womanizer Premium 2, for what it is and what it costs, I am truly blown away. Of course I wanted this toy to be good, but Boutique Voila is a brand that leans more on the novelty side of things, with their fun and often pop culture-inspired appearances, rather than focusing on the pleasure. So to be presented with a toy that seamlessly merges the two, being both quirky and ridiculously orgasmic, has just been a dream come true. With the deep nozzle, placing it over me is easy, and I find all six suction speeds to be strong and penetrating, so much so that I really have no problem climaxing with any of them. Although being able to increase it over a range of strengths is great, and speed six just knocks it out the park. The initial orgasm comes relatively fast, but this is only the beginning, as Little GOO is primed for multiple. And even though I tend to have about five or more in a single session (which can only take up to 10 minutes), I have yet to experience any soreness on my clitoris after. It’s perfect, although if I had to be picky, then I would offer two notes. First is that the shape is a little difficult to hold and press the button of, but this is to be expected of a toy shaped like a dinosaur. And secondly, having the toy return to its lowest speed on the next click after the top speed has made for some awkward orgasms where I have accidently lowered it upon climax. Although there isn’t much Boutique Voila can do about this, and it is simply just one of the limitations of single button toys.

Cleaning & Care

Boutique Voila Little GOO nozzle off

Cleaning the Boutique Voila Little GOO is easy. Just remove the silicone head, wash it in warm soapy water, and rinse. If the body of the toy is dirty too then the whole thing can be washed in the water as well since it is waterproof. Next leave these to air dry and reassemble, before popping its feet back on to keep it clean. Additionally, since the Little GOO is made out of silicone, do make sure to avoid silicone-based lubricants, as they may damage the material.

Final Thoughts

I’ve been excited for the Boutique Voila Little GOO for so long. I already knew it had a winning design: the cute nostalgia-inspired Suck-o-Saurus body, the removable feet for travel and hygiene purposes, as well as added discretion, the deep nozzle for clitoris protection alongside improved placement and suction seal, the list goes on. But what I didn’t know until now is just how good Velvet Brand’s new patented suction would be. Whilst I no longer have a working Rose toy to compare it to, I truly think that the Little GOO could absolutely give the viral trendsetter a run for its money, and I really hope it does. The air pressure waves are both strong yet low volume, with a good range of levels and no unnecessary pattern modes. Orgasms then come hard and fast, and once they start they really don’t stop. In fact, I’d even go so far as to say that this toy is better than the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation, by a big mile. And whilst I did have a few notes, they’re really just me being picky and trying to do my due diligence as a reviewer. Plus, it’s important to mention just how reasonably priced this product is, making it one of the cheapest suction toys I’ve tried, and the fact that this has been made by a small family-owned business, as opposed to the mass-produced Rose that every white-label retailer claims to have made (no doubt flooding the market with low-quality dupes), really emphasises which one deserves our support. Overall, I really do think the Boutique Voila Little GOO is a perfect sex toy, and I truly hope you love it as much as me.

Review: Honey Play Box RORA 2

Honey Play Box RORA 2

When I first tried the Honey Play Box app for my review of their original OLY, they only had a handful of compatible toys that ran alongside it. So, when the US brand recently got back in touch about reviewing their OLY 2, I was delighted to see that in addition to the app’s new range of features, there were also many more products designed to work with it. Some of these, such as the OLY and JOI, are now in their second or even third generations, and it is one such toy that I’ll be reviewing today. The new RORA 2 is the successor to Honey Play Box’s popular RORA dual-stimulator, which brings 360° rotations to the G-Spot. And whilst I don’t own the original, it seems that, like the OLY 2, the only real changes here are the new app-related features, such as voice control, pressure sensing and temperature detection.

Product Description

Being a dual-stimulator with many of the same features as the OLY 2, the Honey Play Box RORA 2 is essentially an oversized rotating version of it. I say oversized because, even though it is supposed to be targeting all of the same areas as the OLY, both shafts are much longer, which is… odd. This also means that whilst this toy is still technically a panty vibrator, I probably wouldn’t use it for this as the weight will make it much more likely to fall out. It also reminds me a lot of Honey Play Box’s other rotating dual-stimulator, the Crave, which I reviewed back in 2022 and is now onto its third generation. The difference here, other than the fact that this is app-controlled, being that the RORA features a realistic head, something quite unusual for this kind of vibrator and likely part of the reason they decided to make the internal shaft so long and thick. On that note, the RORA 2 has an insertable length of 13cm / 5.1″, alongside a maximum diameter of 3.38cm / 1.33″, which is located at the head. The shaft is then almost completely firm, with only a little bit of squish at the head, although a hollow area is located directly below this, as this is where it rotates. Three bumps line the front of the shaft, before the toy has an almost 90° bend, transforming into the flexible external arm where it tapers out to a point, leaving behind two little notches for extra clitoral stimulation. On the other side of this, you’ll then find a reflective plate of rose gold plastic, which surrounds the toy’s single button, as well as two plates for the magnetic charger. Then, as for the colour, this toy sadly only comes in purple, but it is at least a dark metallic shade, making it quite different from Honey Play Box toys I have tried in the past. Finally, this toy is also body-safe, USB rechargeable, and waterproof, and whilst it is anal-safe, it is not intended for this kind of play.

Packaging

Honey Play Box RORA 2 packaging

My order for the RORA 2 was placed with Honey Play Box on the 6th of February and I received it on the 15th. The package was then 100% discreet, with no mention of who sent it or what was inside. As for the box of the toy itself, this is essentially identical to past products I have received from the brand, particularly the OLY 2 which was included in the same order. A colourful and visually appealing box featuring an image of the RORA 2 and information on what it can do, this outer sleeve can then be slid off to reveal a high-quality semi-discreet box underneath, which is easily reusable. Opening this, I found the RORA 2 resting in foam, alongside an instruction manual, app manual, charging cord, and a luxury green storage bag featuring the Honey Play Box logo. The app manual in particular I had issues with in my last review, as it only offers very brief instructions on how to download the app and turn on bluetooth, and whilst a QR code is provided for more detailed instructions, this just leads to the Honey Play Box product page for app toys. And considering the problems I’ve been having with the app, most notably not knowing how to activate the voice control, maybe this wouldn’t have occurred if this manual actually linked to further instructions. Thankfully, I have since spoken with the brand, and they are committed to improving this manual in the future. Finally, the RORA 2 comes with a one year warranty.

Charging

Honey Play Box RORA 2 charging

Charging the Honey Play Box RORA 2 is easy since it is USB rechargeable. Simply plug one end into a USB port, and then connect the other to the metal plates on the toy. These will attach to each other magnetically and the connection strength is quite strong, however I’d still recommend caution when placing it down as the two may disconnect unintentionally. Charging should then take one hour 40 minutes to give you one hour of use, with the light flashing when the battery is being filled and then becoming solid upon completion. In addition, Honey Play Box recommends charging the OLY before first use.

Controls

As with the OLY 2, the Honey Play Box RORA 2 has a single button control. To turn the toy on or off, hold down the button, with success being indicated by its light turning on or off. Although this can be a little bit difficult to see in a well lit room, and is only made worse by the fact that your finger will be covering it. You can then continue clicking to cycle through the nine vibration modes, three of which are steady speeds and six of which are patterns. Each arm has its own vibration motor, which run in sync, and in addition there are also those rotations, which correspond to the vibration mode (for instance, on a pattern where the vibrations turn on and off, the rotations will start and stop). Whilst I do like these controls and they keep things simple, having one button for three different motors is a lot. But at least there is the app for those that desire a greater level of control. As for the pressure controls, this was much the same as my experience with it during my review of the OLY 2, controlling the toy when it is in stand-by mode and working fairly well when I squeeze it in my hand.

The App

At the time of writing this, it’s been less than a month since my review of the OLY 2, and so the Honey Play Box app has not been updated. With this in mind, you can see that review for a full look at my thoughts, and I’d recommend also scrolling to the bottom section to read my “Updates”. This is as Honey Play Box have since resolved an issue I had during that review, which was that I couldn’t get the voice control to work. It turns out you’ve got to use the activation phrase “Hey Honey” before every command, despite the fact that this is not mentioned anywhere besides a few images on their website which just look like marketing copy. Since finding this out, I have also updated my App Review Round-Up, which is the best place to go for a full look at what the Honey Play Box app can do. And even though the voice control is still full of bugs, fairly often not responding to me, this win for accessibility was still enough for me to push the app’s rating back up to a 3/5, making it my 3rd favourite sex toy app out of the apps included in that post. As for controlling the RORA 2 specifically, I have not had any new issues, and am glad to see the two shafts separated in the app, so that you can control them independently from one another.

First Impressions

Turning the Honey Play Box RORA 2 on for the first time, the initial thing I noticed was how much slower the rotations are in real life versus what is shown on the Honey Play Box website. I suppose some kind of exaggeration might be expected with this kind of thing, but there is quite a difference between the two, so much so that it does feel a little misleading, a recurring problem for this brand. As for the vibrations, these are strong in the external arm but a little weaker in the internal one, clearly playing second fiddle to the rotations, and both are on the buzzier side of things. A positive though is that I find it surprisingly quiet, yet probably still too loud for use as a panty vibe.

My Experience

Honey Play Box RORA 2 storage bag

I mentioned at the start of this review how odd it is that the Honey Play Box RORA 2 has vastly different proportions despite targeting the same areas as the OLY 2, and that should have been your hint (and my own) for how this experience was going to pan out. Whilst the OLY’s small bulbous arm isn’t quite curved enough for my G-Spot, it does lay in the vicinity. Meanwhile, its external arm sits over my clitoris perfectly. So, by extending both of these for the RORA 2, and making the internal arm even straighter, neither of them are anywhere remotely near what they are supposed to be stimulating. This kind of move boggles my brain a bit considering the two toys are from the same brand, and while everyone has different measurements when it comes to body parts, I have trouble imagining this toy working for anyone. The external arm sits far too high for my clitoris, whilst my G-Spot is completely abandoned, making the internal shaft into more of a vaginal stimulator. On the one hand, this works better for the realistic theme it is going for, but on the other, I can barely feel anything when the internal shaft is running. If I angle it just right, I do get a hint of G-Spot pleasure, but in doing so I have to completely remove the external arm from my body so that I can’t even feel the residual clitoral vibrations, which is not a worthwhile trade. The one saving grace is that the external arm is completely flexible, allowing me to bend it in half so that it sits directly over my clitoris. But even this comes at a cost, as I must hold it in place the whole time, not only taking away from the hands-free nature of the toy, but also requiring a lot of pressure on my thumb, which quickly becomes numb from the vibrations. And even with this, it is still not really worth it, since the vibrations are buzzy and I am unable to feel anything happening inside of me. Orgasm does come, but it takes a long time, and when it does it is not massively satisfying. Finally, as for the pressure sensitivity, this has somehow been even worse than on the OLY 2, as I have been entirely unable to get it to work when inside of me. Normally I’d be making a bigger deal about this since it’s a major feature of the toy, but the rest of the RORA 2 is so bad that it hardly seems to matter.

Cleaning & Care

Cleaning the Honey Play Box RORA 2 is easy since it is made from silicone and is waterproof. Just throw it in some soapy water when you’re done, give it a wash, rinse, and then dry. Next, store it in a zip-lock bag to keep it clean, as the silicone attracts dust. Furthermore, make sure to not use silicone-based lubricant with this product, as it may react badly to the silicone it is made of, but if you do then first perform a spot test.

Final Thoughts

Honey Play Box RORA 2 and Honey Play Box OLY 2
How exactly were the Honey Play Box RORA 2 and OLY 2 ever supposed to stimulate the same areas?

The Honey Play Box RORA 2 is a dual-stimulator designed for “Clitoral and G-spot stimulation simultaneously”. But with the G-Spot widely regarded as being 2.5 to 7.5cm / 1 to 3″ inside the body, and the clitoris being around 2.5cm / 1″ away from the vaginal opening, yet the RORA 2’s internal arm being 13cm / 5.1″ in length and its external arm being 7cm / 2.8″ in length, it doesn’t take much to figure out that these values do not match up. Coming off of my review of the Honey Play Box OLY 2 is what makes this particularly disappointing though, as the almost identical toy (in every way besides the measurements and rotations) fit my body almost perfectly. And while there is perhaps someone that the RORA 2 works for (at least I hope so, considering it’s the second generation of the design), in the greater scheme of things, I don’t know why this product exists. If you simply cannot get enough of realistic toys, and hoped to combine this love with a rotating panty vibrator that doesn’t really work as a panty vibrator, then I guess you are the target audience. But for everyone else, you’re probably best off sticking to the OLY 2, and if you had your eye on those rotations, then the Crave may be the better option instead, even if it is still waiting on an app compatible generation.

You can get the RORA 2 directly from Honey Play Box for just $100 AUD / $65.99 USD, plus use my code GRACE15 to get 15% OFF your total order!

The new…

Review: Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride

Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride

The recent rise of grinders has caused quite a conundrum for sex toy retailers. Popularised by independent manufacturers, and typically featuring a fantasy twist, these products are not the sort of thing bigger retailers usually stock. Plus, because of their hand-made nature, most don’t have the ability to vibrate, at least not without an external bullet. And since many retailers only sell vibrating toys (or those that offer another form of electronic stimulation), because that’s generally what consumers want, it has meant looking for alternatives to meet the current demand. In the past I reviewed one such grinder-vibrator hybrid, the Vibe Pad, and now today I am doing it all over again for Eden Fantasys’ new Vibro Ride!

Product Description

At first glance, you’d think the Vibe Pad and Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride are the same toy. Both work as a seated vibrating pad, which can be used either as a stationary clitoral vibe or as a grinder. And both feature two points of stimulation, with raised vibrating areas for both the clitoris and anus, creating a saddle-like shape. But once these similarities are out of the way, you’ll notice the two toys are actually quite different. Whilst the Vibe Pad came with a remote control, which was actually essential because the only other button was underneath the toy, the Vibro Ride instead has a handy button right at the front of its body. Plus, the Vibro Ride is smaller with its width of 26.5cm / 10.4″ by 13.7cm / 5.4″, as whilst the Vibe Pad is surrounded by a very thin layer of silicone, Eden Fantasys’ have instead opted for a thicker pad with less surface area. Then, whilst its secondary anal hump is smaller than the Vibe Pad’s at just 2cm / .79″ in height, the primary hump is about level at 5cm / 1.97″, and also features prominent ribbing for some additional texture, another point of difference from its competitor’s smooth body. Covered entirely in body-safe silicone, this is then silky to the touch and comes in just one colour, red, and although the pad itself has some flexibility, the humps are quite firm. Finally, near the single button you’ll find the magnetic charging plates as the toy is USB rechargeable, and it is also fully waterproof for cleaning and bathroom play.

Packaging

Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride packaging

My order with Eden Fantasys for the Vibro Ride was placed on the 16th of February and it arrived on the 27th. The package was then 100% discreet, with no mention of the sender or the contents. The box for the toy itself was quite nice, especially when compared to what the Eden Fantasys Wonder came in, which I received at the same time. Semi-discreet, with just a stylized drawing on the front and a few brief bits of information about what’s contained within, this box can then be opened up to reveal the toy resting in a plastic shell. With it, you’ll just find a charging cord and instruction manual.

Charging

Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride charging
A pretty big seam is located on the bottom of the Vibro Ride, however since this is almost always face down, it is quickly forgotten.

Charging the Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride is easy as it is USB rechargeable. Simply plug one end of the cord into the hole on the back of the toy, and then place the other end over the metal plates on its underside, so that the two can connect magnetically. Do be careful though, as the connection strength here isn’t the strongest, and so they can become easily disconnected. Plus, this is made slightly more tricky by the fact that the indicator light, which will flash during charge and become solid upon completion, is located under the button on the other side of the toy. Charging should then take around three hours to provide one hour of play, and Eden Fantasys recommend charging the Vibro Ride before every use.

Controls

The Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride has just one button from which to control its nine vibration modes. This is located at the top front of the toy, so that during play it’ll be right below you. To turn on the toy, simply hold down the button, which will place the Vibro Ride on its first steady speed. There are then three steady speeds to choose from, as well as six additional patterns, and once complete the toy will continue to cycle through them. When you’re done, you can then turn it off by holding the button down again. All in all a very simple and straightforward system.

Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride button
I’m not sure what that symbol means or if it’s just decorative, but it is the Vibro Ride’s single button.

First Impressions

Turning the Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride on for the first time, I was certainly impressed by the vibrations contained within. Both motors are quite powerful, although with the smaller one understandably being the weaker of the two, and feature a good amount of rumble, even at their higher speeds. I also find them much stronger than the Vibe Pad, which is a big bonus. Although this is all a bit of a double-edged sword, because these vibrations also mean that the Vibro Ride is loud. Not only an increase from the volume of the Vibe Pad, this is easily one of the loudest sex toys I have used, and things only get worse when it is placed down. Unfortunately this has made my testing a little bit awkward, as I can’t help but wonder whether my neighbours can hear it.

My Experience

As with the Vibe Pad, you have to be strategic about where you use the Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride. This is because you need your vulva to be straight down for everything to be positioned properly, rather than facing forwards like it is when you typically sit down. Recently I’ve been using the Liberator Jaz with all my grinders, so that was also my first thought when I got the Vibro Ride. Yet whilst it works well, the hard cushion seems to further amplify the noise, and also doesn’t feel as comfortable as I was hoping. So after looking back at my review of the Vibe Pad to see how I went about it then, I switched to using it on the corner of my bed, so that my legs can hang over the edge. This works much better, with the noise becoming slightly muffled by my bed’s blankets, and increased contact on my vulva improving stimulation.

Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride small hump

Turning it on, I’m even more amazed at the vibrations. They are so strong, that when I put my full body weight on it, it feels a bit like I’m sitting on a washing machine, because my entire body vibrates, right down to my teeth! This is so intense it can sometimes even be too much, but thankfully with a bit of adjustment I can focus the vibrations on my vulva instead. The downside though is that between the primary motor being so strong and the secondary hump being so small, the anal stimulation on the Vibro Ride gets completely lost. And whilst I think it probably does still contribute to the overall experience, it certainly does so less than on the Vibe Pad, where both motors can be easily discerned. However, my biggest criticism of this toy has to be how firm the silicone is, as it can be quite uncomfortable to rub against. Now, that being said, the Vibe Pad has the same firmness, and it wasn’t something I complained about in that review. But it is the ridges that make all of the difference here, as the density is much more noticeable in their hard corners, especially compared to the Vibe Pad’s smooth surface. Overall though, the Vibro Ride is still very much a fun toy and certainly the more powerful of the two, which greatly helps to make up for any issues.

Cleaning & Care

Cleaning the Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride is easy since it is waterproof. Simply wipe it down with some warm soapy water, rinse, and then leave to air dry. Plus, you may not even need to do that, as this toy can be used while clothed and is also perfect for spray cleaners after light use. Additionally, since this toy is made out of silicone you won’t be able to use silicone-based lubricants with it, as they may negatively affect the material.

Final Thoughts

Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride and Vibe Pad
The Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride alongside the much larger Vibe Pad.

The Eden Fantasys Vibro Ride is another great example of a seated vibrator, and it quickly separates itself from similar toys with its powerful vibrations. I was initially unsure if it could live up to the standard set by the Vibe Pad, particularly due to its lack of remote control, which was essential for controlling that toy. But with its considered button placement, controlling it was a breeze, and if anything I preferred it this way. Of its issues, there were three that really stood out to me, although thankfully these will be mostly subjective. First was its noise level, which made me feel a bit like I was announcing to the neighbourhood what I was doing. Then, the firmness of the clitoral hump was just not for me, especially since I have been testing and enjoying so many softer grinders recently. And finally, there was the almost complete lack of anal stimulation from the secondary motor, especially compared to the Vibe Pad, which far better emphasised the dual-stimulation aspect of this style of toy. Overall, this is definitely still a good option for those who think the above problems aren’t going to be a issue for them, and it’s also worth pointing out that whilst the two toys are very similar in price, Eden Fantasys frequently have sales which see the Vibro Ride go for a whopping 50% OFF, making this a real bargain if you can grab it at that price.

You can get the Vibro Ride directly from Eden Fantasys for just $244 AUD / $155.99 USD!

Review: O-WAND – Princess Previews

O-WAND

Wand massagers are kinda my thing, and nothing makes me happier than getting more. I have a bunch on my wishlist from reading reviews by my fellow bloggers, but nothing gets me more excited in the sex toy world then when a new massager comes out. Every new toy has the opportunity for it to be the next big thing, for it to beat out my current favourites and take a prized spot in my bedside table drawer. So when the O-WAND was announced and I was contacted about reviewing it I was over-the-moon excited to see if it would be able to live up to the high expectations the creators have set.

Background

On a segment of HBO’s ‘Talking Funny’ Louis C.K. talks about how at 19 he upset Jerry Seinfeld by introducing him as the ‘Best Comedian in the World’. Jerry explains that this was because as soon as he was introduced that way the audience changed from excited to see him perform to judgemental and critical. I bring this up because this is exactly how I feel when looking at the O-WAND’s main tagline, that it is the ‘Worlds Most Powerful Massager‘. Now, I understand marketing and why they thought it was a good idea to say that, but from a reviewer’s point of view this is probably the worst thing they could have said, it is like they are setting themselves up for failure. Coming at this review originally I was excited to see how it compared to my Magic Wand Rechargeable and Doxy Die Cast, but didn’t expect it to be more powerful than them, although if it had that would have been a wonderful surprise. But after I saw that tagline on the box my thoughts instantly changed from optimistic to “oh, really?”. I won’t let this sway my opinion for the review, but I’ll be comparing the wand to my MWR and Doxy a lot more than I otherwise would have.

Product Description

O-WAND

The O-WAND is a brand new rechargeable wand massager produced by UK company Mr & Mrs Toys. The toy is said to have “reinvented the personal massager” as well as being the “most powerful, safe, and stylish” massager on the market. Reinventing a sex toy is a big statement, and personally I don’t think massagers need it. The main differences this toy offers over others is a travel lock feature and the fact it is waterproof, even though these are both common features for sex toys these days. The design for the toy is very stylish, with the entirety of it being made of body-safe black silicone apart from a gold coloured handle made of ABS plastic. The silicone is buttery and soft, but has a full length seam and attracts a hella lot of lint. A big difference between the O-WAND and my MWR and Doxy is that the head of the toy is tapered to a point, rather than a more broad and flat end, which may allow for better pinpoint stimulation. It has three buttons, ‘on/off’, ‘vibrations’ and ‘patterns’, which is the same as the MWR, plus four power settings and seven patterns. Since the buttons are made of silicone too, when pressing down on them they create a satisfying indent feeling. Above the buttons is the logo for the brand and toy, and the head has a good amount of flexibility to it.

The toy has four attachments that are made for it and the O-Burst attachment is included. This is pretty neat because while I love wand massagers I’ve never actually owned an attachment for one before. This particular attachment has bumps all over it and is simply designed to add texture to the O-WAND’s otherwise smooth head. It is made completely of silicone and also fits perfectly on my Magic Wand Rechargeable and Doxy.

Packaging

O-WAND

The O-WAND was sent during the week of the 14th of November and it arrived on the 30th, which is a pretty good amount of time for a UK to Australia delivery. On the packaging the product was listed as a “Novelty Toy Gift Set” and the sender was listed as Mr & Mrs Toys. This was all fine for me but if discretion is really important to you it may be something you want to consider. The actual packaging for the O-WAND is absolutely stunning and just oozes sophistication and luxury. It is also the largest packaging I’ve ever had for any sex toy, including my MWR and Doxy. The outside sleeve of the box features pictures of the toy, as well as a bunch of information on what it can do. Upon removing the sleeve a high quality black box which only features the logo and nothing else is revealed. This opens up through the use of magnets and once another piece of card protecting the toy is removed, the toy and attachment are viewable. These are held in place by foam cut-outs which are covered in gold card to further add to the luxurious feeling of the product. Next to the toy is a box which includes the charger and all the various adaptors that are included. Also included is an instruction manual which has a few details on the use and cleaning of the toy. There is also supposed to be a warranty card included in the instruction manual, however as a reviewer I did not receive one, but rest assured purchased boxes will have them included. Not only is this packaging beautiful, it allows for a easy reusable storage solution for those that need it.

Charging

Charging this toy is very simple and easy. It has a tiny hole in its silicone at the very end of the handle, which can be located due to a electricity symbol surrounding it. This is sealed when not in use which allows the toy to remain waterproof, but when charging is needed the charging jack easily slides in place. It comes with a bunch of international plugs which is great and makes up for the fact it isn’t USB rechargeable. When I asked for mine no Australian plug was available yet which I was informed of and okay with, but this is meant to be coming out soon. When charging the power plug will actually have a static red light, rather than a light on the toy. Charging is meant to take 1.5 hours and this will give you around 3 hours worth of play time. This toy doesn’t work whilst it is on charge, and so its cable is a regular size for a rechargeable toy, rather than the long lengths of the Magic Wand Rechargeable and Doxy.

Controls

O-WAND

Using the buttons on the O-WAND are very similar to the MWR with the biggest different being the travel lock feature. Basically what that means is that you need to hold down the ‘on/off’ button 3 seconds before the device turns on. Once this is done the buttons will turn red, however the toy will not start vibrating. After this you can either use the ‘pattern’ button to cycle through the 7 patterns or the ‘speed’ button to cycle through the four speeds. If you switch buttons then it’ll start at the 1st speed or pattern again. To turn off the vibrations just click the ‘on/off’ button again. The toy will stay ‘on’ however until the ‘on/off’ button is held down for 3 seconds again. This is something I constantly forget to do after using the toy only to go back to it hours later to find it still ‘on’, resulting in me having to charge it more often than usual. Other than this annoying system (there are better ways to set up a travel lock!) I can’t fault the button system, especially since having the patterns (which I hate) and vibration speeds separated is always the best thing ever.

First Impressions

The first thing that struck me with this toy was its immense weight for something that is silicone based. It weighs in at 690g, 10g less than my Doxy Die Cast which is made out of metal, so I would avoid this toy if you have weak wrists. The way its handle works makes the toy feel even heavier than it already is though, because rather than just holding it straight down or angled to whether you want it like other massagers, the O-WAND has a curved handle which requires you to put effort into holding it the right way while also being able to have your thumb over the buttons. I don’t feel like a whole lot of thought went into holding this toy, because it is just downright uncomfortable to hold, with the hard 90 degree turn where the plastic meets the silicone digging into my fingers and I can barely get my hand around it, mixed with the fact you must use your pointer finger to steady it otherwise it cannot be balanced, and even then it is a struggle to be able to press the buttons, plus it is completely tiring on the arm. I’ve been practicing holding it while I write this and my right arm is now exhausted and my pinky and pointer things both ache, which is never a good sign after only holding it for a few seconds compared to how long I need to hold it when masturbating.

O-WAND

Now to the thing I was most interested in, the claim that the O-WAND is the “world’s most powerful massager”. Turning on the O-WAND it is immediately obvious that it is more buzzy that rumbly. That is generally a bad sign in the vibrator world, because whereas a buzzy vibrator just buzzes away on the surface of the skin and generally causes numbness, rumbly vibrations actually deeply penetrate whatever is being targeted. This can come down to preference, with some people preferring buzzy vibes, but personally I like rumbly. When used against the Magic Wand Rechargeable and Doxy, there is no question about which ones are stronger however. To be honest, the O-WAND does quite well and certainly does hold up against the competition, but its mostly the lack of the deeper rumbly vibration style that makes it feel weaker than the other two. As for noise level it is pretty much on par with the Rechargeable, with the Doxy remaining the quietest.

My Experience

Actually using the O-WAND is good. I can orgasm relatively easy with it and achieve a lot of pleasure. Orgasms obviously aren’t as fast or as strong as if I was using my other wands, and due to the buzzy settings I often have trouble bringing myself over the edge, similar to my IMTOY Gazelle, but I believe if my clit wasn’t so use to the stronger vibrations of my Doxy and MWR then this wouldn’t be an issue. The biggest concern for me, as I mentioned previously, is holding it. I’ve found it practically impossible to hold comfortably with the actual handle, not only does it put an unnecessary amount of weight and strain on my wrist, but I am also unable to put the required amount of pressure down on my clit that I need to orgasm. I was told the toy is designed to be held towards you, which I find does relieve the strain on my wrist, however this means the head of the wand is also on its side which doesn’t stimulate me as well as its top, plus I have trouble pressing the buttons from this position. Instead I’ve gotten use to holding the toy upright in the space between the head and handle. I find this way of holding it relatively comfortable, except it means I can’t press the buttons without two hands which can be very frustrating in use. Using it with the O-Burst attachment is fun, it certainly adds some interest when I first start using the massager by providing some texture to rub against me, but when I’m actually using the massager to orgasm I generally hold it still so it doesn’t really do anything for me then.

Cleaning & Care

O-WAND

Since the O-WAND is waterproof cleaning is made easy! Just wash down the end after every use with some soap and warm water and leave to air dry. Be careful to only use water based lubricants with it or perform a spot test before using silicone lubes. Since it is silicone it can be stored where ever you want really, but to avoid damage and keep it from picking up lint storing it in its original box is recommended.

Final Thoughts

The O-WAND surprised me and exceeded my expectations for it. While it didn’t quite live up to my Magic Wand Rechargeable and Doxy Die Cast as its tagline might have suggested, it certainly put up a good fight and was not that far off. The biggest issue for me was the handle, visually I love the appearance and design of it, but it just wasn’t ergonomic or comfortable and really made using it quite difficult. My main struggle in recommending the O-WAND comes down to its price, if this was a slightly cheaper wand than the Rechargeable ($230 AUD / $150 USD) or Die Cast ($275 AUD / $225 USD) I would 100% recommend it as a alternative and cheaper option. But since it is actually more expensive than the others I don’t feel like I can personally recommend it since I feel those wands are of a higher quality for less. Although I suppose if having a waterproof feature is important to you then this may be enough reason to buy one. Either way, I enjoyed trying out the O-WAND, for Mr & Mrs Toys first crack at a wand massager they have done a brilliant job, and I can’t wait to see what they come out with next.

So when the O-WAND was announced and I was contacted about reviewing it I was over-the-moon excited to see if it would be able to…
