Review: Tantus Perfect Plug Plus

Tantus Perfect Plug Plus

My blog started with a butt plug review, and since then I have written a lot of them, including a guide for beginners on how to use them. From that I have been seeking out plugs to recommend to my readers, generally with an emphasis on affordable but still good quality types. For anyone willing to put in a bit of extra money though I have always recommended the Tantus Perfect Plug Kit. Even though I didn’t own it myself, I trust Tantus, and to me the kit always seemed like the perfect way to start an anal journey. From it you get two very high quality silicone plugs that you know will last you a long time. The first is the Perfect Plug, which is thin, small, and a great way for any beginner to start off, while the other one, the Perfect Plug Plus, maintains a similar shape but is larger and can be used with a bullet vibrator for added stimulation, once you have mastered the smaller one. So, when I was given the opportunity from Tantus awhile ago to review some of their products I knew that it was finally time to try out what I had been recommending, and so, as an already experienced anal toy user, I asked to review the Perfect Plug Plus.

Product Description

Tantus Perfect Plug Plus Close-up

The Tantus Perfect Plug Plus is essentially a larger vibrating version of the Perfect Plug. It has a rounded and tapered tip, a secondary bulb-like insertable after the initial one, and then a long neck before expanding into a sturdy T-bar style base. I particularly love T-bar or anchor style bases, so I’m really happy that this is what Tantus use, as I find it much more comfortable than symbols or round bases. With it comes Tantus’s bullet vibe which has three speeds, one button, and uses batteries. The toy is also compatible with most other bullet vibes however, such as the We-Vibe Tango. At first glance the Perfect Plug Plus looks quite fearsome with a diameter of 3cm / 1.2″ and insertable length of 10cm / 4″, but upon closer inspection it is actually one of my smaller plugs (in comparison to my other anal toys, in general this is definitely a medium to large sized toy and not for beginners), with my Naughty Candy Hearts, Glass Plug, and Rocks Off Butt Quiver all being wider. It is, however, my longest toy, and so I was interested to see if this would make a big difference. It comes in either black or purple, and personally I prefer darker colours with anal toys, and the silicone is very smooth and silky for easy insertion. The toy features a barely visible seam running over the length of it, as well as the Tantus logo at its base.

Packaging

Tantus Perfect Plug Plus in packaging

My order was placed with Tantus on the 6th of June and I received it on the 29th of June, which was slightly quicker than international orders to Australia usually are. The package arrived in a plain brown box with no mention of the company on it but ‘adult novelty’ on the label, so if privacy is an issue for you then you may want to consider this. The Perfect Plug Plus was packaged in Tantus’s usual non-graphic cardboard box which has a plastic insert to show off the toy. These boxes can be reused if opened carefully, but are quite bulky, so if space is an issue then I would recommend later storing the dildo in a zip-lock bag as Tantus toys don’t come with storage bags.

My Experience

Tantus Perfect Plug Plus with Tantus Bullet

My first attempt at using this plug was without the bullet vibe inserted, since for extended wear I wouldn’t want this aspect included. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do it, or if it would be extremely uncomfortable, but I was determined to find out. Paired with my Sliquid Sassy lube I found the plug relatively easy to insert and did not require a warm-up, although if you aren’t very experienced with this large a toy I would definitely recommend it (and while this method did work, it is indeed easier to insert while the bullet is also included). After insertion I was glad to find I only needed a small amount of adjustment time to get use to the feeling. It was incredibly strange not wearing the vibe, because the hole where it should have been was still open, meaning I could put my finger in the hole rather easily. This was a super weird feeling since I could not feel my finger, but mentally I knew I was putting it inside of me, very trippy! After that I went about my day doing dishes and regular activities. I found the plug very obvious and hard to forget about, unlike some of my smaller plugs, although I think this was probably due to its long length. The whole time I had it in I was very aware of its presence, however I did not find it uncomfortable, and I could not feel the base at all. Sitting down is usually an issue when wearing plugs, but I found that this one actually became more comfortable when sitting, even on hard chairs. I feel that this was probably the length of the plug shifting to a more comfortable angle upon sitting, so it is definitely recommended more so than my other plugs for extended wear that will involve a lot of sitting down (cinema or dinner ideas possibly?).

Next I decided to see whether the bullet could be inserted whilst wearing the plug. This was another success, as it slipped in very easily. As usual with the Tantus bullet vibe I found the vibrations very weak and buzzy, although it was still a pleasant sensation and aided my masturbation. On all my later uses however, I have replaced the included bullet with the We-Vibe Tango, which is far more intense and rumbly. This can be easily felt and is very pleasurable, and combined with masturbation it can create some great orgasms.

Tantus Perfect Plug Plus with Tantus Bullet Inserted

When this toy is inserted it really adds a whole new element to vaginal insertion. I like to use smaller dildos with it such as the Tantus Splish or BS Atelier Alex, and due to the plug it means they get pushed up against my G-spot which feels great. When the Tango is also running inside the plug it makes them feel almost like vibrators inside my vagina too, which I love. I have used toys as large as my Tantus Pack ‘n Play No.2 whilst the Perfect Plug Plus is inside of me, although I imagine I could take even larger toys with enough warm up and preparation. Using the plug during PIV sex, especially in a doggy-style position, is equally as amazing, as it makes me feel tighter and again presses my partner’s penis against my G-spot. The vibrations also feel good for my partner which is definitely a bonus.

Cleaning & Care

For general cleaning just give the Perfect Plug Plus a wash with warm water and some soap. For a more extensive cleaning, which you should do every few uses or when sharing between partners, you can either boil it for 2 minutes, put it in the dishwasher, or rinse your product with a 10% bleach solution. If your plug starts to smell you can bake it in the oven at 175 degrees C / 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Afterwards return it to its storage solution, such as a zip lock bag. Since the silicone can pick up lint you might also want to wash it before use, and only ever use water-based lubricants with it.

Final Thoughts

Tantus Perfect Plug Plus with Tango

Overall I have loved trying the Tantus Perfect Plug Plus and will definitely continue to use it. It is a great larger toy that doesn’t require a ton of warming up for and can be inserted relatively easily. Despite its size it is quite comfortable for extended wear, and this is aided by the great base design Tantus have come up with. I’ve found it to be the perfect size for pairing with vaginal insertion and it does a great job of pressing things towards my G-spot, plus when the We-Vibe Tango is also inserted into it the orgasms I get are on another level. It would be good if a better bullet vibrator was included, because I know not everyone will have a Tango on hand to swap out with it. But in terms of the plug this is definitely a great design that should satisfy intermediate or experienced plug users.

For those in Australia or New Zealand, you can get the Tantus Perfect Plug Plus at JOUJOU for just $59.95 AUD!

For everyone else, you can get the Perfect Plug Plus directly from Tantus for just $42 USD!

Anal Toys
Review: VeDO Quaker – Princess Previews

VeDO Quaker Anal Vibe

The thing that makes me most happy about running this blog is seeing readers trust my recommendations enough to base their own purchases off of them. But not everyone can afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a sex toy, and so it is important for me to find cheap alternatives to recommend rather than just focusing on the luxury toys. This is my second VeDO review of the two Peepshow Toys recently sent me, and after the astounding success of the Luv Plus Clit Vibe I have been very excited to try out their Quaker Anal Vibe. To me, brand new company VeDO have already proven themselves to be worthy makers of cheap yet still body-safe, good quality, and well designed sex toys. For its price I thought the VeDO Luv Plus was extremely well made, and since the Quaker Anal vibe is even cheaper it certainly has a lot to live up to.

Background

The Quaker Anal Vibe is essentially a vibrating anal beads toy with five levels. Anal beads are a toy I find really interesting, because they are essentially perfect for both beginners and experienced users. If you are a beginner then this is a great way to start exploring anal play, as you can slowly work your way up, learning to take length and width at the same time, while if you are experienced then this will certainly be a brilliant toy for you that you can potentially use right from the get-go. This is an experience you cannot get with a anal plug, since to get the same effect you would need to buy five of them in varying sizes, plus it does not teach length at all. Due to this I have been wanting to review anal beads for sometime, so was very eager to get my hands on the Quaker when I saw it was part of Peepshow Toy’s VeDO range.

Product Description

The Quaker is made of body-safe silicone and is waterproof, although it does require batteries (AAA), which accounts for its cheaper cost than the Luv Plus. It is 21cm / 8.25″ in length and its widest point is 3.6cm / 1.4″. It boasts 12 vibration settings which can be controlled with a single button in its base. The silicone is silky smooth and does have some slight squish to it but otherwise is rather hard, and it only picks up a small amount of lint. Each bead is textured on both sides with a half moon type of shape which looks very nice but I feel is impractical for cleaning purposes. This toy comes in black, pink, orchid, burgundy, midnight and indigo, and while I usually prefer to go for black with my anal toys, I couldn’t resist the look of orchid.

Packaging

VeDO Quaker Anal Vibe

My order from Peepshow Toys was confirmed on the 11th of February and I received it on the 20th, which, since it was coming from the US, is really quite fast. The packaging was completely discreet, with no mention of who sent it or what type of items were contained inside. The packaging for the Quaker is simple and what I expected for its price, being a simple cardboard box with images of the toy and descriptions about its features. Inside the box the toy came resting in a clear plastic insert and with a small instruction manual / product guide. The toy does not come with the batteries it needs, so this is something you’ll have to buy separately. I usually tend to avoid buying non-rechargeable toys since batteries can be expensive and frustrating to buy, but when toys are this cheap it can be inevitable. My only negative with the packaging was the instruction manual, which desperately needed to be spell checked, as there was quite a few off putting spelling mistakes, a issue I also brought up in my Luv Plus review.

Charging & Controls

This toy only needs one AAA battery, and to do so the base can be easily unscrewed. The single silver button underneath is where you can control the toy and cycle through its 12 vibration modes, 3 being steady and 9 being patterns. I found the button and vibrations a lot more on par with my own preferences than on the Luv Plus, which I had a fair amount of issues with. For instance the button is far easier to press down which means it can be cycled through a lot quicker. It can then be turned on by pressing the button once, turned off by holding down the button, and will always revert back to the start of the cycle once turned off. Furthermore, since the button doesn’t stick out it makes things easier when trying to insert the beads by reducing the risk of pressing it by accident, unlike my other two vibrating anal toys, the Rocks Off Booty Quiver and Tantus Perfect Plug Plus, where one must be careful to avoid the button. The vibrations themselves aren’t great, with it being more buzzy and a lot weaker than the Luv Plus, but this isn’t personally a huge issue for me since anal vibrations are more of a pleasant sensation than something I am trying to use to help me achieve orgasm.

VeDO Quaker Anal Vibe

My Experience

This toy was a challenge for me. I consider myself rather experienced with butt plugs and can take those that are much larger than the widest bead on this toy. But I rarely have anal sex and have never used a long anal toy such as a flared dildo before (except the Tantus Splish, but that thing is tiny). So the length was completely new for me and something I really had to work on and practice with to be able to take. Initial insertion itself is a little trickier than with plugs since it is so long and flexible, making aligning it and pushing in frustrating. I’d recommend having a partner help with this or setting up a mirror if you are struggling. Lots of lube will also be required when using this toy and I would recommend Sliquid’s Sassy which is my favourite lubricant for anal play.

I find the first two levels of this toy really easy to insert, and the first one is so small it’ll come out on its own if you don’t hold it in. On the third level I feel full, and that’s where I’ve found I often hit my struggle point. Sometimes I have a break and relax for awhile before going back to it, but other times, especially when I was first trying this toy, I would just leave it at that and try again the next day. On the fourth level I usually feel like I have hit my limit and am satisfied to stop there, however I have once gone up to the fifth level too. Personally, even though I know I can make it to the fifth bead I prefer to just end it at the fourth, five is just too overwhelming for me and until I practice more I feel perfectly satisfied with just reaching the fourth bead. When using these toys it is important to not beat yourself up if you cannot take as much as you want, anal play is about slowly training your body and even experienced users have bad days. You should always listen to your body when using toys like this, and remember that anal play should never hurt!

VeDO Quaker Anal Vibe

While the vibrations on the toy are buzzy and weak I personally enjoy them, however I could not get off to them. They give a really nice tingly feeling and I find it really quite pleasurable, although I don’t like to have it running too long as it numbs me out a little. If you are big into anal vibrations however these may not be on the level you are use to.

I’ve found that using this toy with my partner can be a lot of fun for foreplay, although we have yet to try having PIV sex while the toy is inside of me since I feel like it would just be too much. I have, however, tried using a vaginal toy on myself while wearing it, and it does a great job at pushing toys towards my G- and A-spots. Training myself more with the toy to be able to take larger toys and then my partner while I wear the Quaker is my next goal with it. Finally, I am also loving it as a way to train myself a bit more anally, and plus it is just a lot of fun to insert when I want to engage in some anal play.

Cleaning & Care

Since this toy is made of silicone and is waterproof cleaning it is easy. Just wash it down with some warm water and mild soap, being careful to clean out the textural details on the beads. It can then be left to dry and returned to storage. It doesn’t pick up much dust so it is up to you whether you want to store it in a bag or not, but if so I would recommend a zip lock bag. Finally, make sure to remove the batteries during storage. This toy is not compatible with silicone based lubricants.

Final Thoughts

VeDO Quaker Anal Vibe

Overall, I have loved trying the VeDO Quaker. I have wanted to test out anal beads for ages, and who would have thought the ones I got to test would be vibrating too! Apart from the fact that this toy uses batteries, everything about it is top notch. VeDO have really impressed me again, with yet another product that takes an already established toy and adds a few small changes to make a excellently thought-out and well designed sex toy. The bead sizes and overall length is great, it looks like a luxury product, and the vibration controls are spot on to my preferences. Plus, after all that, it is also ridiculously cheap! It brings me great pleasure to be able to recommend such a low budget toy, which I have enjoyed easily just as much as toys that cost $200. If you are at all interested in anal play, even if you have never done it before, I would highly recommend grabbing one of these bargains before VeDO realise how great they are and raise their prices!

You can get the VeDO Quaker from Shop Enby for just $52 AUD / $34 USD, plus use my code GRACE to get 10% OFF your total order!

Review: Doc Johnson American POP! Mode Butt Plug

Doc Johnson American POP! Mode Butt Plug

Back in 2016 I started a review series looking at beginner’s butt plugs that were both good quality and cheap, so that anyone new to using them would have a few options on what to start with, without breaking the bank. Butt plugs are still one of my favourite sex toys as they are a fantastic entry-level kink toy and very versatile, but sadly 2017 didn’t seem my year for them, as I only ended up reviewing one. So, to ensure that doesn’t happen again this year I wanted to start 2018 with a butt plug review right off the bat, and to bring back my ‘good quality and cheap beginner’s plugs’ series. In this regard, today’s review is on the Doc Johnson American POP! Mode silicone butt plug in 4 inches, which has been kindly sent to me by Peepshow Toys.

Product Description

The Doc Johnson American POP! Mode butt plug is about as simple as you get with a toy like this. It has a very sleek and thin design, with only a very slight bulge along its length. I have the 4″ / 10cm length version, which is the smallest of the three in this series (the others are 4.5″ / 11.5cm and 5″ / 13cm). The actual diameter of the toy is 1″ / 2.5cm, whilst the insertable length is 3.5″ / 8.9cm. This makes it almost my smallest plug, only just being beat out by my Bondara Velvet plug which has a diameter of .98″ / 2.4cm. However, the Mode’s shape and design is quite different to other plugs (Doc Johnson describe it as a ‘bowling pin shape’). Whereas most have a large tapered bulb which ends in a thin neck and then a wide base, the Mode does its own thing entirely and is like no plug I’ve ever tried before. There is no skinny neck, in fact the entire thing aside from the base is a rather consistent size. There is also barely any tapering, only a rounded head to aid insertion. Due to this I think it’ll be an interesting review to find out if this design actually works or not.

Doc Johnson American POP! Mode Butt Plug

The toy is made out of body-safe silicone, and has quite a tacky and grainy texture. Its base is round and features the Doc Johnson logo, which is carved into the silicone. The Mode also comes in four colours, blue (what I have), pink, purple, and yellow. I really adore the yellow and blue designs as these are colours you don’t see often in sex toys (although sadly Peepshow Toys don’t stock the yellow version).

The Brand

While I have reviewed quite a few Doc Johnson products lately for Synergy Magazine, this is my first product of theirs actually on my blog. Due to this I’ll give them a quick introduction, however if you know sex toys then you probably already know them. Doc Johnson are one of the biggest sex toy manufacturers in the US, and probably in the world too. They make a huge variety of products, and cater to all price ranges. All their toys are made in America, and this is a fact they are very proud and open about. Not all of their products are body-safe though, which is why I generally don’t review their items. Thankfully, this particular plug is, so I was more than happy to accept it for review. Do be careful when choosing products from them however, as even other toys in the POP! collection aren’t body safe, and they don’t always make this clear.

Packaging

Doc Johnson American POP! Mode Butt Plug Box

My order for the Doc Johnson American POP! Mode was placed with Peepshow Toys on the 23rd of May and it arrived on the 30th of May, which was a fantastic time frame considering it was coming from the US to Australia. The package had no mention of the company that sent it, but did list the items inside as “Massager”, which may be an issue if privacy is important to you. The box of the product itself uses bright pop-art style colours and artwork, reminiscent of a Roy Lichtenstein painting. It is clearly meant to appeal to a young audience, and I think it does this well, especially since it is a toy aimed at beginners. Despite the fun graphics there is still a clear window which lets you view the toy directly, which I like. The box itself feels very cheap, as it’s just made from plastic, and there is nothing inside it other than the toy. Brief instructions for cleaning are written on the bottom of the box, which is frustrating as most people will need to write these down to be able to then throw the box away if they aren’t familiar with silicone cleaning. The box could be kept for storage purposes, but it is very bulky and large compared to the toy itself.

My Experience

Doc Johnson American POP! Mode Butt Plug

While I love plugs, it has been a busy year for me and so I honestly can’t remember the last time I wore one prior to testing this item for review. Despite this though I found it easy to insert, even without a tapered head (so it should be fine for beginners). However, the strange shape immediately becomes obvious once inside. Usually when putting a plug in it’s a lot of work, and then sudden relief once it ‘pops’ inside and you settle around the thin neck. However, with the Mode there is no relief, and it always feels like it is still halfway through being inserted. It reminds me a lot of a small anal dildo, rather than a butt plug, as there is essentially no ‘plug’ element. It is quite uncomfortable, and I find my body has trouble adjusting to it, as I constantly feel ‘open’. What’s more I find it always feels like it is about to fall out, as there is nothing really keeping it in, and a few times it has fallen out, which is not fun. It makes wearing this plug a worrying, and sometimes painful experience.

The first time I tried it out it was for extended wear around the house for a few hours whilst I did chores. Aside from the constant fear of it falling out, I found it alright to wear but nothing special. Since it is so light and thin I found it was rather hard to feel, and this was only helped slightly by its length. Furthermore, the round base was very uncomfortable and unnatural feeling, as it meant my cheeks were constantly spread. This is why I generally prefer T-bar style bases for butt plugs, as these fit in place naturally. Any feelings I did receive from the plug itself were mostly overpowered by the uncomfortableness of the base. At the very least I found it comfortable to sit down with, and this eliminates the worry of it falling out. Perhaps this would be a good toy to watch a movie with.

Doc Johnson American POP! Mode Butt Plug

Next I tested it during PIV sex with my partner and alongside my solo masturbation with internal toys. In both cases I found it a struggle, as the toy would often fall out or at least feel like it was about to, which made me spend most of the time worrying about it and not focusing on the task at hand. Plugs should be something in the background that you don’t have to worry about, simply adding extra stimulation and pleasure, and this was the opposite of my experience with the Mode. Furthermore, my partner found that he received no extra stimulation from the plug and could not feel it whilst inside of me, which is likely because it is so thin. Overall I did not enjoy using it in these two ways at all, as I found it incredibly frustrating and distracting.

Cleaning & Care

Since this toy is waterproof and made out of body-safe silicone cleaning it is rather easy. For general cleaning just give the Mode a wash with warm water and some soap. Be careful to clean out the Doc Johnson logo on the base of the toy though, perhaps with a spare toothbrush, as bacteria can easily hide there. For a more extensive cleaning, which you should do every few uses or when sharing between partners, you can boil it for 3 minutes. Afterwards return it to its storage solution, such as a zip lock bag. Since the silicone can pick up lint you might also want to wash it before use, and only ever use water-based lubricants with it.

Final Thoughts

Doc Johnson American POP! Mode Butt Plug

Overall, I am very disappointed by this toy. I like that Doc Johnson tried to do something different by moving away from mainstream plug designs and making their own, but I feel like the flaws the Mode has should have been picked up by their own testers prior to it being approved. I thought it would work, that’s why I asked to review it, and I didn’t doubt it until putting it in my ass. But after the first test it was clear this is one of the worst plugs I have ever reviewed, and my opinion of it only got worse after every other test. It is certainly cheap, good quality, and suitable for beginners, but would I recommend it? No. You should never have to worry about a plug falling out, that defeats the purpose of them! The only use this might be suitable for is when sitting down, such as going to the cinema or out for dinner, but then again I found the base and lack of thin neck also uncomfortable. Additionally, this might be a good option to use if you are after a small anal dildo for anal training, as it is the perfect size and shape for this. But if you are after a plug, I’d instead recommend checking out my other two reviews in this series.

The Doc Johnson American POP! Mode has now been discontinued.

Anal Toys
Review: b-Vibe Snug Plug 2

b-Vibe Weighted Snug Plug 2

Ever since b-Vibe arrived on the sex toy scene, I’ve been immensely intrigued by their seemingly amazing range of anal toys. Their first creation, the Rimming Plug, made it onto my list of Top New Sex Toys I Want To Try in 2017, which is not an easy feat for a brand new company! Sadly, I still haven’t gotten round to reviewing that toy, but in July they announced something that interested me even more than the Rimming Plugs. It was their silicone Weighted Plug range that they had aptly named the b-Vibe Snug Plug. Now, I am sure there are other weighted butt plugs out there, but this is the first one I’ve ever heard of, and I think it is a brilliant idea! Weight is one of the most important factors in butt plugs, but unless you want to dish out a lot of money for a metal one, you’re going to have a hard time finding anything good. b-Vibe’s Snug Plugs not only allow for a weighted plug that is made with silicone, but also make weighted plugs far more accessible due to their low cost. So as you can imagine, I was overjoyed when Peepshow Toys asked me to review one of these for them.

Product Description

Whenever I get to try something new in this industry I get really excited, and this was a toy I had really good feelings about. While I love all sorts of materials for butt plugs, I find silicone to be the easiest to use and clean, and it is also often easier to recommend to people due to how cheap it is (when compared to glass and metal). But something that frustrates me is that these are often very light, which lets the plug become easily forgotten if used for extended wear. I also find that to have something weighty of any material, it also needs to be fairly large. But does this mean beginners or those that want a small plug should be without weight? Hell no! You should be able to enjoy weight in a plug no matter what your expertise level or preference is. b-Vibe’s Snug Plug line aims to fix all these issues, and I couldn’t be happier.

b-Vibe Weighted Snug Plug 2 Base

In addition to all these amazing factors, the b-Vibe Snug Plugs just look like good-quality and comfortable plugs, even without their weighted insides. The shape of them fits my preferences, with a T-bar style base (my favourite kind as it fits nicely inside your cheeks, allowing it to be far more comfy than other bases), long skinny neck (a nice contrast from my last plug review), and a tapered head. There is four versions of the plug to choose from, with insertable lengths ranging from 8.6cm / 3.4″ to 13.3cm / 5.2″, diameters ranging from 2cm / .8″ to 4.4cm / 1.7″, and weights ranging from 55g / 1.9oz to 257g / 9oz. The version I have is the Snug Plug 2, which is is 3.1cm / 1.2″ in diameter and 11cm / 4.3″ in insertable length, with a weight of 114g / 4oz. I find this a perfect size for me, as it isn’t small (so possibly too large for beginners), but also doesn’t require much effort to use. All of the plugs come in black, however all of them, except for the Snug Plug 4, also have their own unique colour too. The plugs have a very faint seam that doesn’t effect use, and the b-Vibe logo debossed into the base. Rather than a smooth tapered head, this plug has bevelled edges, however I haven’t found these to be an issue in use. The silicone is very smooth, although because of the weights inside it is also very firm, so don’t rely on it squishing if you’re worried about the sizes.

Packaging

b-Vibe Weighted Snug Plug 2 Packaging

My order with Peepshow Toys for the b-Vibe Snug Plug 2 was placed on the 29th of September and I received it on the 6th of October, which is a fantastic amount of time since it was coming all the way from the US to Australia. The package had no mention of the company that sent it, but did list the items inside as “Massager”, which may be an issue if privacy is important to you. The b-Vibe Snug Plug itself came in a very stylish and modern packaging that I was rather impressed by. The box is made from thick good-quality card, which features a clear plastic window at the front so that the toy may be viewed before opening it. Then, rather than having to fuss with opening the box like usual, instead the front of the plastic just lifts up to reveal the toy. On the box the features of the toy are outlined and how it can be used, along with lots of stock photo images of happy smiling people (which is a little strange, but I’m still ok with it). Inside the box is all the add-ons you could ever want. There is a small booklet called ‘Guide to Anal Play’, and this is fabulous in both the information it provides and its design. I would really recommend reading this if you are new to anal play. There is also a detailed instructional manual, and a fantastic little zip-up purse for storing it in. I’ve never received anything other than the usual drawstring bags for keeping sex toys in, so this was a nice surprise. Plus it’s big enough to keep other things in it too, and can be quickly identified by the b-Vibe logo printed on the front.

My Experience

I find insertion of the b-Vibe Snug Plug to be relatively easy. I use a bunch of my favourite anal lubricant, and it does take some time and relaxing of the muscles, but otherwise it goes in without issue. I’m not a huge fan of having to prepare myself with smaller plugs before I can put in the one I actually want to wear, so I am glad I don’t have this issue with it. I would think that this is little too large for a beginner however, so I would instead recommend the Snug Plug 1 if you are new to anal play. Another thing I like about this toy is that the ‘adjustment’ period of putting it in doesn’t last too long, meaning you can pop it in and then you’ll be good to go almost straight away, rather than needing to wait to become use to the feeling.

b-Vibe Weighted Snug Plug 2 Storage Bag

I love all the different uses for butt plugs, that’s what makes them so interesting to me, but I find the Snug Plug just screams ‘extended wear!!’. It’s only during extended wear that I ever want weight in my plugs, as without it I find it easy to forget I’m even wearing an anal toy. You still want a plug to be comfortable, which I find mostly depends on the base, but the weight is what gives you that constant reminder of just how kinky you are being. So, how did the Snug Plug fare? Absolutely perfectly. This plug does all the right things, and is easily the best extended wear plug I’ve ever tried. The T-bar base and thin neck are super comfy, so sitting down isn’t an issue, and I never feel like I have anything unnatural digging into me. Plus, the weight reminds me of the plug’s presence, and also feels quite satisfying to have inside of me. I love wearing this around the house while I do chores, and it would be perfect for wearing out as well.

After being smitten from trying the b-Vibe Snug Plug for extended wear, it was time to try it during PIV sex and masturbation. After both experiences I had the same opinion: this is amazing. The weight doesn’t really add anything to these experiences, but the size and shape of the toy are perfect when something else is in my vagina. It makes me a lot tighter and increases stimulation immensely, plus angles whatever is inside of me towards my G-Spot or A-Spot. Furthermore, my partner also noted that he loves me wearing it during doggy-style position, as he can then feel it too, letting it stimulates him as well.

Cleaning & Care

b-Vibe Weighted Snug Plug 2

Cleaning the b-Vibe Snug Plug couldn’t be easier since it is waterproof and made from silicone. Just wash it down with some warm soapy water and then rinse it. Once clean you can leave to air dry, and then return it to its box or storage bag. I like to sterilise anal toys between every few uses, but there is no information about this in b-Vibe’s instructions. You can see my notes on sterilising silicone here, but it would be at your own risk as I’m not sure if it would effect the weights. Since the silicone can pick up a lot of hair or lint, you may also need to wash it before use. Make sure to only use water-based lubricants with it, so as to avoid damaging the silicone.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the b-Vibe Snug Plug 2. It is easily the best butt plug I have ever tried, and since they make up one of my biggest sex toy collections, that is saying something. I have three main uses for butt plugs: extended wear, masturbation, and PIV sex, and it passed every test with flying colours. I particularly enjoyed using it for extended wear, and it was so nice to be able to have something weighted that also wasn’t too large. I also love that there is so many different size options in this range, and it feels good to be able to recommend it to people regardless of their preference or experience. Whether you’re new to anal play and want a first plug, or a veteran looking to try something new, I would strongly advise buying one of these.

Now, I am sure there…

Review: b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite

b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite and remote

It was in 2017 that I first talked about how I just couldn’t get the idea of a rimming butt plug out of my head, and that has remained true until today. b-Vibe’s innovative first-of-its-kind rim job simulator was first released in 2016, acting as the launchpad for their now award-winning company, and was one of the products I featured in my Top New Sex Toys guide a year later. So even though I rarely review anal toys these days, with my last actually being on b-Vibe’s Snug Plug 2 in 2018, when COTR (the company that owns Le Wand and b-Vibe) recently reached out and asked if I’d like to review something from their collection, how could I not request the Rimming Plug Petite? Thankfully they were more than happy to oblige, and now here I am, finally reviewing what has remained the most exciting butt plug I’ve ever seen, even after seven years!

Product Description

The b-Vibe Rimming Plug is a vibrating butt plug with one special twist: it also features rotating beads in its neck to massage your sphincter and simulate a rim job, which is a form of oral sex performed on the anus. There are three sizes, the Petite, the 2, and the XL, and I went with the Petite to keep things simple. Although despite the name and the “ideal for anal beginners” message on b-Vibe’s website, this toy is surprisingly large, and not something I would suggest to those who are new to anal play. While it’s not quite my widest plug, at 3.5cm / 1.4″ in diameter it’s certainly something, and with a insertable length of 10cm / 3.9″ (and a total length of 12.4cm / 4.9″!) it is my longest, matching that of the Tantus Perfect Plug Plus. In addition, there’s another dimension to the Rimming Plug Petite that we don’t normally touch on, and that is the neck’s width at 2.2cm / 0.9″, since while these are usually fairly thin, this one needs to fit all of the toy’s electronics, which is why I assume the “Petite” is so big in general. Bulky yet tapered, the proportions of this product are unusual, with a thick base and long neck, so much so that the plug element looks small in comparison and reminds me more of an anal-safe dildo or vibrator. The b-Vibe logo is then inset into the silicone on one side of the base, and at the bottom of this you’ll find a single button and the toy’s magnetic charging prongs. Coming in three colours, black, purple, and blue (which is what I have), the Rimming Plug also arrives with a remote control that can work up to 30 feet away. Plus, it is USB rechargeable and covered fully in a smooth body-safe silicone. The only real immediate downside to this toy is that it is not waterproof, only splash proof, which in my opinion is absolutely not acceptable for a premium sex toy made in 2023. But luckily for the b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite, it wasn’t made in 2023, which is the only excuse I’ll take.

Packaging

b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite packaging

COTR are known for their exceptional packaging, and after my previous review of the Le Wand Hoop, I had high expectations going into my experience with the b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite. I wasn’t let down either, with the box for the toy being high-quality and absolutely worthy of its premium price tag. While the Hoop took a more luxurious approach, appropriate for Le Wand’s branding, b-Vibe are all about colour and fun to make their products feel accessible, and that’s exactly the direction they’ve gone here too. The package highlights your chosen colour and shows off the toy with both pictures (including an actual size image on the front) and information about what it can do. Then, for a far more discreet and minimal option (although some details are still listed, such as the name of the product), which is ideal if you like to keep packaging for storage, you can simply slide this sleeve off to reveal the box underneath, which can be opened from the side magnetically. Inside this you’ll then find some brief instructions printed on the inner door, as well as the toy itself resting safely in plastic and the rest of its accessories underneath it. These are the Rimming Plug Petite’s USB charger and remote, alongside a branded storage pouch (this is nice, but previously the product came with a proper custom hardshell case, which it’s a shame I missed), a large user guide in many languages, a sticker of a unicorn with the phrase “Anal Is Magic”, and a small “Guide to Anal Play” booklet in English that also doubles as a product catalogue. In addition, the Rimming Plug Petite also comes with a one year warranty, and as it was sent to me directly by b-Vibe (who do not normally offer delivery to Australia), I won’t go into the shipping details.

Charging

Charging the b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite is easy since it is USB rechargeable. Simply plug one end of the cord into a USB port, and then connect the magnets on the other end to the plates on the bottom of the toy. Plus, since these are quite stable, you shouldn’t have to worry about the magnets accidentally disconnecting or falling off. Charging should then take 2 hours, with a light on the toy flashing, and once complete the light will become solid, giving you around one hour of play time. Additionally, it’s also worth mentioning that not only is the Rimming Plug Petite’s cord longer than usual, but it features the brand logo, making it easy to identify.

b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite remote
Seeing this sticker on the remote upon opening the box was an unpleasant interruption to the otherwise premium experience.

There is then the matter of charging the remote. Looking at b-Vibe’s online product manual for the Rimming Plug Petite, the remote uses a CR2032 battery, which is the norm for sex toy remote controls and most small appliances. However, a sticker has been placed on both the back of my remote and on the English version of this page in my physical user manual, stating that “This remote control is a sealed unit. Do not attempt to open.” and directing users to email Calvista when the remote stops working for a replacement. Since Calvista is an Australian distribution company, I can assume this only applies to those in Australia, although I have no idea why this would be the case and I’ve never seen anything like it before. What I do know is that it’s a bit frustrating to need to go to the extra effort to completely replace something (even if it’s presumably for free) when I already have the replacement batteries for it, and also fairly wasteful. I have tried to get the remote open despite the warning, but it’s not budging, so this does seem to run deeper than just the sticker.

Controls

Whilst the b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite does feature a single button on its base, this only has the ability to control the toy in the most basic way, so even if you have access to this, using the remote is still recommended. Regardless, to use it manually first turn the toy on by pressing the button, which will place the toy into standby mode and will also need to be done when using the remote in order to pair it. You can then continue clicking this button to cycle through nine modes, which includes three settings with just the beads, one setting with just the vibrations, and five settings with both (although only one of these features the vibrations without patterns). When done, just hold down the button for two seconds to turn the Rimming Plug Petite off. Additionally, the toy also features a travel lock, and this can be activated and deactivated by simply holding down the button for five seconds, with success being indicated by a flashing light.

b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite charging

As for the remote, this has five fairly self-explanatory controls, with the centre option working as the power button. Simply press this to turn it on, and if the toy is in standby mode then the two should pair without issue, which will activate both the rotations and vibrations at their lowest levels. You can then use the plus and minus buttons to increase or decrease the speed of these two motors, with both featuring six levels. Alternatively, you can press the other two buttons to control the motors independently, with the rotations featuring seven modes and the vibrations featuring six (and all of these modes also respond to the six speeds, meaning there are a lot of options). You can also, at any point, hold either of these two buttons down to turn off the associated motor, and then another press of this will turn it back on. Finally, to stop the toy and turn off the remote, you can hold down the power button on it, but you will need to make sure you do this on the toy as well, since it will be left in standby mode. Plus, like on the b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite itself, you can also use a travel lock on the remote, and this can be activated and deactivated by simply holding down the plus and minus buttons for three seconds, with success being indicated by a flashing light. Overall, I am very happy with all of this, with the controls being extremely comprehensive and offering countless possibilities for use. I suppose the only downside is that with the toy being so reliant on the remote to access its full range of features, it makes it all the more important that Calvista come through on their promise to supply replacements (because what happens if shipping is slow or the toy is discontinued?).

First Impressions

I’ve never had a rim job, so the idea of a toy that could simulate the experience of one has always intrigued me. Turning on the b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite for the first time, I was mesmerised by its spinning beads, which are quite visible to the eye through the silicone when they’re turned on. They’re fast, withstand a good amount of pressure, and only make a small amount of noise at their lowest level. The toy’s vibrations, which are powerful and rumbly, are the same, although as both motors increase in speed, so does the sound. In fact, at their highest levels, they are both (whether used together or separately) extremely loud, and this doesn’t change much during use. With this in mind, the Rimming Plug Petite certainly isn’t a toy you can use with discretion, at least not if you want to enjoy its motors at their full capacity.

My Experience

b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite accessories

Despite b-Vibe’s claims of this being a beginner’s friendly plug, the Rimming Plug Petite is much too large for that, and even I require some warming up before use. For this, I use the Lovehoney Booty Buddy followed by the b-Vibe Snug Plug 2, as they provide a perfect ramp up in sizes before taking the Rimming Plug Petite. Thankfully, this is also helped by the fact that whilst the toy is quite long and may take some getting use to, it is also very tapered, and so insertion does go fairly smoothly. Once in, it is quite noticeable how much bulkier the product is over some of most of my other plugs, and this is most noticeable in the base, as it’s the first time for me that this element is not just a flat piece of silicone, but rather something that sticks out. This means that manoeuvring with the toy or sitting with it inserted is fairly uncomfortable, and so if you’re after something for long term wear I would recommend the Snug Plug instead. It does allow for easy use of the manual control, however, and because I tend to turn the toy on whilst it’s already inside me to conserve battery, I find this very helpful. Activating the rotations, I then quite enjoy the sensation, with it not feeling at all like regular vibrations. Instead, it’s like a pleasurable buzz that massages my sphincter for total relaxation. Adding the vibrations to this then takes it to another level, and I even quite like trying out the various patterns the two have to offer, with the remote being perfect for all this experimentation. Plus, whilst the rotations start to get lost after a little while, I find that having an orgasm with my Magic Wand Rechargeable helps bring them back even stronger, and that by having the b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite running throughout, climax is way more powerful than usual.

Cleaning & Care

I said back in 2017 that the biggest downside to the b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite was that it isn’t waterproof, and it’s a shame that despite this product going through some changes since then (such as the loss of the hardshell case) this hasn’t been fixed. Because it really is the toy’s biggest downside, and it has made testing it more than a little tricky. With butt plugs, my usual cleaning process would be to initially clean them by soaking in hot soapy water, and then after a few uses to boil them in water to sanitise and bake them in the oven to remove any smells. But with the Rimming Plug Petite, I can do none of that. Instead, I can only give it a quick wash under a running tape with plenty of soap, which can make removing any dried mess difficult (even though I clean it immediately after use). This also means it retains smells more than my other toys and isn’t sanitized, so now my review is done I plan to air it out with some baking soda and then wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution, in the hope this helps. In addition, this toy should also not be used with silicone-based lubricants, as it may negatively affect the material it is made of.

Final Thoughts

b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite

So, after seven years, was the b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite everything I hoped it would be? I say yes, with its rotating beads eliciting a wonderfully satisfying feeling in my sphincter unlike anything I have ever experienced before, and I am so glad to have finally gotten to. Yet despite all this, I am still hesitant to recommend this toy, as with a price tag of $240 AUD / $160 USD at the time of writing, that’s one hella expensive feeling. Of course, for those who have the money and are looking to try something new in anal play, then by all means go for it. But do you need the Rimming Plug Petite in your toy box? Probably not. Especially when that luxury toy is not waterproof in a waterproof world, and you need to risk the chance that your remote will die and be useless, severely affecting use of the product, without a guaranteed replacement. Plus, whilst I did enjoy the sensation, it wasn’t the sort of feeling that I could orgasm from alone, and I couldn’t use it for extended wear either, which is something I always enjoy with butt plugs. Regardless, it was still a good time, and if b-Vibe does ever make the Rimming Plug waterproof, improve the remote, reduce the price and maybe even make a smaller size, you know I’ll be signing up once again.

If you are in the US, you can get the Rimming Plug Petite directly from b-Vibe for just $159.99 USD, plus use my code PRINCESS22 to get 22% OFF your total order!

For everyone else, you can get it from Peepshow Toys for just $238 AUD / $159.99 USD, plus use my code GRACE to get 10% OFF your total order!

Anal Toys
Review: We-Vibe Ditto+ – Princess Previews

We-Vibe Ditto+

Anal August may be over, but that doesn’t mean the love for this form of play has to end! After all, without anal toys I might not be here, with my blog starting out primarily reviewing butt plugs, and my Beginner’s Guide still being one of the most popular posts at Princess Previews. Plus, today’s review isn’t on any old butt plug, but a toy I’ve been after ever since it was originally announced back in 2017. We-Vibe are the makers of many of my favourite sex toys, from the Tango X and Touch X, to the Nova 2 and Melt, and their beginner’s friendly and app-compatible Ditto was another success that I just never got round to trying. So when Lovehoney Group (who recently acquired We-Vibe) reached out to let me know they’d be releasing an upgraded version, the Ditto+, this August, I couldn’t have said yes to a review faster.

Ditto OG vs Ditto+

Since I don’t have the original Ditto, I won’t be comparing the two in this review. But according to We-Vibe, the Ditto+’s upgrade is primarily related to the included remote. It seems the popular brand has finally left behind their classic white plastic remote for a discreet black silicone version that looks similar to the We-Vibe Touch X’s control system. However, other than its appearance, I can’t find anything that makes this more “advanced” remote truly any different from the old one. As for the toy itself, it seems to be pretty much identical, except for two new colours and a rearrangement of its in-built ten vibration modes, with the four steady speeds now being together rather than separated by patterns, a move that I’m sure would have infuriated me if I ever reviewed the OG Ditto. But, unless you found this an issue, it seems the Ditto+ is really just a minor refresh of the original design, and not something you need to rebuy if you already have one.

Product Description

The We-Vibe Ditto+ is a vibrating butt plug that is intended for beginners to anal play, and a product I feel there is not enough of in the luxury toy market. As is appropriate for its audience, it is fairly slim, with a maximum diameter of just 1.26″ / 3.2cm and a length of 3.5″ / 8.8cm, and its tapered body also works to make insertion far easier than traditional butt plug designs. Also unusual is that one side is entirely flat, another change that will create a more comfortable experience for those just getting started on their anal journey. You’ll then find a thin flexible neck at the end of the insertable portion, and after this is a wide T-bar style base, which is my personal favourite in regards to both comfort and security. My particular Ditto+ is in We-Vibe’s pink, which uses a shimmery pigment for a touch of sparkle, and while the toy also comes in black I am unsure if this is also shimmery. Although I love this, it seems to accentuate a number of manufacturing flaws across the Ditto+’s body, similar to what I experienced with my We-Vibe Nova 2. These small marks, while they won’t affect use, are quite off-putting and not appropriate for a luxury toy in my opinion. Plus, to make matters worse, there is a prominent seam that runs around the toy and legal writing, such as the model number, on the inside of the toy’s base, which is not ideal for keeping things clean. On the outside of the Ditto+’s base, you’ll then find the toy’s single button (it can also be controlled via the remote and app), the metal plates for the magnetic charger to connect to, and the We-Vibe logo. Finally, the toy is also fully waterproof, made entirely of body-safe silicone, and USB rechargeable.

Packaging

We-Vibe Ditto+ with packaging

Since my We-Vibe Ditto+ was sent directly to me by the manufacturer, I won’t go into the shipping details. The box for the toy itself is then what I’ve grown to expect from the premium sex toy brand, arriving in a luxury box featuring images of the product and plenty of information on what it can do. Using We-Vibe’s fun and colourful branding, giving it an approachable feel, the top of the box can then be slid off to reveal the product resting safely within. On the inside of the box you’ll find some tips on how to get started, and alongside the Ditto+ is its remote, quick start guide (although unlike other We-Vibe products, it doesn’t seem to have a full PDF manual online), safety information booklet, branded charging cord, and a cotton storage pouch, which is nicer than We-Vibe’s older silk bags. Finally, as with all We-Vibe products, the Ditto+ comes with a two year warranty.

Charging

We-Vibe Ditto+ on charge and remote with battery open

Charging the We-Vibe Ditto+ is easy since it’s USB rechargeable. Simply plug one end of the cord into a USB port and then place the other end over the metal plates on the toy, so the two can connect magnetically. This magnet is quite strong, so they should stay put, but I’d still recommend double checking once the toy is placed down. Once on charge, a light will flash on the toy, with this becoming solid upon completion. As with the original Ditto, this should then take 90 minutes to give you an estimated two hours of play time. In regards to the remote, this uses a CR2032 battery, which is included. To access it, you can simply pull the plastic end of the remote off, and then push it back on again.

Controls

We-Vibe Ditto+ controls and storage bag

Whilst the toy does have a single button on its base that works pretty well, the We-Vibe Ditto+ is intended for use alongside either its remote or app. And considering where the toy will be located during use, this makes perfect sense. You’ll still need to turn it on initially using the button, although since it has no stand-by mode you may wish to immediately turn the vibrations back off during insertion. A quick overview of this button is that you simply need to press it to turn the toy on, continue pressing to cycle through the ten modes, four of which are steady speeds and six of which are patterns, and then hold down the button to turn it back off. The only downside to using just this, other than the awkward location, is that whilst the remote and app have the ability to increase the intensity of these modes, the single-button doesn’t and will refer to whatever the remote last set it to. This isn’t too bad for the steady speeds, but if you’re a pattern lover then you’ll definitely want to avoid manual control. It’s worth noting though that if you do choose to just use the button, We-Vibe has raised its location, so it is very easy to press even when you cannot see it.

The Remote

The new We-Vibe remote is far more user friendly and discreet than the previous version, being all black and only featuring the brand’s lettermark and pictorial mark rather than their Googleable wordmark. It also has an additional button, which is dedicated to pairing the toy, rather than just using one of the arrows. This isn’t a particularly exciting change though, especially considering the Ditto+ comes paired to the remote, so unless you plan on also using the app, the upgrade is basically just visual. If you are using the app, however, you will need to re-pair it since the Ditto+ can frustratingly only be paired with one thing at a time, and to do this you’ll need to hold down the button on the toy until it vibrates, and then hold down the pairing button on the remote until it vibrates again. Other than this button, which features the We-Vibe tilde, there are just four pretty self-explanatory buttons, two arrows and a plus and minus. As you’d imagine, the plus and minus increase and decrease the vibration intensities (which seem to have a range of around 15 levels), and can either be clicked or held down, whilst the arrows help you navigate through the modes, of which there are only seven. This is because there’s no reason to include the four steady speeds when you can control the strength, so instead you’ll just find the one steady and six patterns. Finally, the remote has the ability to turn the toy on and off, which can be done by simply holding down either the plus or minus button till the desired effect is achieved.

We-Vibe Ditto+ remote

The App

I’ve reviewed many We-Vibe products that use the We-Connect app, starting with the Wish in 2017. Yet it’s now been three years since I’ve used it and it has been through a major update in this time. In fact, it was so major that it’s not even called We-Connect anymore, but just We-Vibe. You can find an overview on it at my sex toy app review round-up, yet unfortunately I’ve found the update to be quite disappointing, and whilst I did have issues with past versions, this just feels like a step backwards. The visuals are no longer discreet, and while there are some great ideas in there, it is hugely let down by the functionality of it. The most major problem, though, is that when used with the Ditto+, only one speed can be accessed. It’s either on or off, with zero levels in between. I’m dearly hoping that it is just because the Ditto+ is so new, since I tried the Nova 2 with it and did not experience the same glitch, but even with that it is not on for a luxury brand to have such a major component of a product not work whilst it is on the market.

First Impressions

We-Vibe has a reputation for making some of the best vibrators on the market, so I was extremely excited to turn the Ditto+ on for the first time. Another success, I am absolutely here for the toy’s super rumbly vibrations. In fact, it’s so rumbly that it almost seems like a different kind of vibration altogether, as if you can really feel the motor and its constant thumping, reminding me a lot of the vibrations in the We-Vibe Nova 2. On that note, there is also a great range of intensities, even if I can only access them when using the remote. And, as for the noise level, this isn’t too bad, especially during use. Although it’s worth noting that it can be heard at full speed even when inserted, so if you plan on using it in public you may want to keep this in mind.

My Experience

The last time I took part in any kind of anal play was during my review of the b-Vibe Rimming Plug seven months ago, so for the purposes of this review you can say I’m pretty much untrained. Yet the We-Vibe Ditto+ is so perfectly sized and shaped, with its small diameter and tapered point, that insertion is as easy as ever. Rather than being too small, however, and quickly forgotten, the curve of the toy helps to maintain sensation. I also find the base aids with this, as since it is slightly wider than normal, I’m always aware of its presence. The risk here would be that it is uncomfortable, but this hasn’t been my experience, instead just helping to remind me of the Ditto+, which I enjoy (afterall, what’s the point of wearing a butt plug if you forget it’s even there?). The slim shape of the plug itself also allows for easy vaginal penetration whilst wearing it, and any kind of play, whether it’s PIV, a vaginal toy, or just a simple wand massager, feels elevated when the Ditto+ is inserted, not to mention the orgasms. I’ve particularly taken to using the Nova 2 with it, giving me hands-free stimulation of three different erogenous zones! As for the vibrations, I really enjoy them, and being more rumbly than buzzy ensures that I don’t feel numbed out. With all this in mind, I’ve found the Ditto+ a quick way to amplify any play I’m already doing, and it’s so nice to have a high-quality vibrating butt plug that I don’t have to train myself in advance to be able to enjoy.

In regards to extended wear, I’ve found the We-Vibe Ditto+ to be ideal. As I mentioned above, the base ensures you don’t forget about it, whilst still being small enough to be comfortable when standing or sitting. My favourite place to wear it has been in the shower, and the splash-proof remote is perfect for this. The vibrations are also fun to put on during this kind of use, although sadly I’ve found them difficult to control…

Unexpected Issues

We-Vibe Ditto+ flaws
Between the prominent seam, raised manufacturing marks, and indented writing so close to the insertable portion of the toy, the We-Vibe Ditto+ doesn’t look like a luxury product.

I’ve already spoken about how the We-Vibe app doesn’t really work with the Ditto+. So, you can imagine my immense disappointment when I realised the included remote doesn’t work either. Initially when testing it out everything seemed fine. But once I inserted the Ditto+, the problems began. It turns out that when the product is being used, the remote stops being able to control it. Sometimes it works, but the majority of the time it does not, and so the only reliable way to use it is to place the remote up against the base of the toy, which kind of defeats the purpose (and feels very silly too). To make matters worse, at one point the remote stopped working entirely. I tried to replace the battery and found it stuck within the remote, to the point where I needed to use heavy-duty pliers in order to remove it. For whatever reason, putting the removed battery back in got the remote functioning again. At least, functioning sometimes, as now it has a habit of dying until I take the battery out and reinsert it again. These issues are less of a problem during solo play, as it is easy enough then to just use the button directly on the toy and sacrifice some functionality. However, during extended wear or partnered play, it is incredibly frustrating (and part of the reason why I’ve mostly been wearing it in the shower), and a big con to this type of use.

Cleaning & Care

Since the We-Vibe Ditto+ is waterproof and made out of body-safe silicone, cleaning it is easy. For regular care, just rinse or soak it in some warm water before washing it with soap, being careful to go over the text on the inside of the base since bacteria may hide here. You can then rinse and leave it to air dry. Alternatively, for a deeper clean, which you should do every few uses or when switching between partners or orifices, you can wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. In between uses, store it in We-Vibe’s included bag to keep it clean. Additionally, make sure to not use silicone-based lubricants with this product, as it may affect the silicone it is made with.

Final Thoughts

This review was actually supposed to be released during Anal August. But I experienced so many issues with the We-Vibe Ditto+ over the course of my testing that it ended up being significantly delayed. At its heart, this is a good toy. The shape is perfect and so are the vibrations, and I wish I could leave this review at that. But no, because the Ditto+ is riddled with so many quality issues that I am deeply concerned for the brand I once adored so much. My fears started the moment I saw this toy, with its prominent seam and nicks in the silicone almost foreshadowing the things to come. Between the “improved” We-Vibe app only being capable of a single speed and the “upgraded” remote barely being able to connect to the Ditto+ during use, these control options felt essentially useless. And whilst I’m thankful We-Vibe had the care to include a button on the toy itself, not only is it very awkward to use during PIV play or extended wear (particularly when you’re clothed), but it is highly limited, only allowing you access to four of the Ditto+’s potential 15 speeds. So, it’s no surprise that I’ve taken to wearing the Ditto+ around the house without the vibrations, which is a shame when they’re so damn good. The only saving grace has been using the toy for solo play, and I’ve gotta say it’s going to be hard to beat that Ditto+ x Nova 2 combo anytime soon. Yet even with this, it sadly just doesn’t feel right to recommend this toy in any capacity right now. Of course, if I ever receive a new We-Vibe remote and notice a change in the app, I’ll be sure to update this review!

We-Vibe are the makers of many of my favourite sex toys, from the Tango X and Touch X, to the Nova 2 and…
